A Sunday with the Sandlot.
We've been following the Texas Playboys & the Sandlot Revolution in Texas for years now. We finally made our voyage to what was maybe the closest to heaven on earth we'll ever encounter. The Long Time.
The smell of pastor tacos. The sounds of a honky tonk. The feel of the cool Austin breeze. The beauty that the Long Time holds is something you only see in movies. It's a hideaway oasis that is a dream come true to many of us & possibly our new favorite getaway while in the capitol city. If you take a rustic Texas ranch, throw a baseball diamond in there with some cold Lone Stars and a country western spin, you've got the Long Time.
Sandlot baseball is alive & well in Texas. We all gathered on Sunday to show support & benefit the Houston Food Bank through donations. After Harvey hit the Gulf Coast, including flooding out Houston, a day like this at a place like this was a "vacation" to say the least.
We joined the Houston Gamblers and took on Los Jardineros! Take a look & make your way down to Austin... the Long Time is waiting. This is Texas.
