Not that he really cares to moralize here, Ogata isn’t exactly someone in the position to do so and more importantly it’s really not his concern to keep. He was never a decent person.

 Come to think of it… he never mentioned the gold hunt to her did he?

Maybe he should ask her to do that sometime. Selling gold and turning it into dust could work…. If anything it’d gain him some food. 

✫  𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒𝒸𝓇𝒶𝒻𝓉 𝒸𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓈 𝑒𝓍𝒸𝑒𝓅𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈 𝓉𝑜 𝒽𝓊𝓂𝒶𝓃 𝓁𝒾𝓂𝒾𝓉𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈, so it was safe to assume that -- yes -- blood was spilled alongside sweat and tears from the workers that mined it. However, it is not to the extent of his imagination.

      “The new civilizations wage war over gold, yes? We lived alongside one of the most bountiful regions possessing gold: Nubia. It was not infrequent for us to mine it. It was often bartered, too. Despite its perception as the flesh of Ra back then, it was so plentiful I never thought twice about its value.” 

       There’s a surprising amount of bloodshed in Ogata’s memories. The more she thinks about his question regarding gold, the more some memories peek through the surface, as if these are the thoughts that occur to him when it’s mentioned. There’s visions of... tattooed skins. There’s the sound of running feet, and there’s...

       “Ogata? ...Who is ‘Asirpa’? And who are the Ainu?”

 “AAAAAH i’m so sorry!!!! Please use this!!!” he throws with precision a blanket on top of her because skin of any sorts was sort of weird for him. It was weird when Ogata made him go to that brothel, and it was weird when he saw it first hand and at that amount. He has a slight feeling its offensive so-

 “I’m so sorry! I think its ok where your from and I respect that but mmm sorry! I’m not used to people dressing so lightly yet!”

✫  𝒮𝒽𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉𝓈 𝓉𝑜 𝓈𝒸𝑜𝓁𝒹 𝒽𝒾𝓂 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝒷𝑒𝓁𝓁𝒾𝑔𝑒𝓇𝑒𝓃𝒸𝑒, but at the same time, he has such an astounding aura of purity that she simply feels stupefied in his presence. ✫  𝒯𝓌𝑜 𝒽𝒶𝓃𝒹𝓈 𝒸𝓁𝓊𝓉𝒸𝒽 𝒶𝓉 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝒻𝒻 𝓃𝑒𝓇𝓋𝑜𝓊𝓈𝓁𝓎, and the harder she tries to find that usual, teasing lilt of his voice, the more she can’t. She’s heard about the things the city does from time to time; how the participants could be prone to losing their memory, or just... experience drastic changes overnight.

      It’s happened to her before! It’s happened to those around her, but she never thought it could happen to Ogata. They’d been friends for almost two years, so he seemed... stable. “I-- I’m?” Aah. “I’m Pharaoh Nitocris! Incarnation of the Sky God Horus as well as a God of the Netherworld! How dare you be so insolent!” 

      For all that pride and for how often she’s boasted that same line, this is the first time she’s done so with a quivering lip and watering eyes. She can’t deal with it appropriately, so she’s going to simply throw his gifts at his feet and disappear.

As far as he’s concerned the topic of it doesn’t need any digging. He’s said more than enough, too much even so it’s good to leave it there. Just like that.

Since she skirts away it’s easy. Just like that, with a single laugh he trails off to the memories that Nitocris poked. And certainly - he sees the view from the golden throne, wide hall with its decorative patterns and statues.

All that gold that everyone’s been chasing after for so long… He wonders how much of it would cover an area like this. 

“ Just how much blood went for all of it. Fortunes like that rarely come for free hm? “

      ...Though, he is right. The duties that come with it certainly do feel like a nuisance, looking back, but that’s probably Ogata’s aloofness rubbing off on her.

       Trinkets and baubles don’t impact her so heavily anymore, but she’s always had the ability to coin gold. “I could create some for you.”

       The limitations placed upon her in this city didn’t restrict the manner of items she could procure, only their quantity and size. For an item such as gold, the weight and size matter little as long as one can keep accumulating it. Though his question does strike something in her; his hard way of living, would it insult him if she told the truth? 

       “...We used.. people to reduce costs of labor. The Old Kingdom of Egypt did not utilize them as frequently as the New Kingdom did, but perhaps you would consider them slaves in this era. Or peasants, perhaps. I would like to think that they were not treated so terribly, but I was not placed under their circumstances to tell. All that gold was primarily used for trading. I don’t believe the monetary value of it then was so high as it is now.”

The only one to know that would be that cat monster bastard… Maybe the people keeping them on the island.

Ogata picks up what she’s talking about immediately. The scent, everything… Well-etched picture of the pot and all the ingredients doesn’t feel all that faded even in this body. 

“ Anglerfishnabe. I mentioned it, didn’t I? Ages ago. “

“ Do you want to go around digging my memories hmm? “

✫  𝒜𝒶𝒽, 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉'𝓈 𝓌𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓌𝒶𝓈? That’s right, he did mention it once, long, long ago. Her mouth opens to confirm her desire for the food, but then she remembers last summer. 

               “I thought about it backwards but even as a kid I don’t think I particularly felt guilt over it…                                    I waited for my grandparents to leave the house                                                       and sneak rat poison for the anglerfishnabe that my mother ate.” 

      Receiving information orally is one thing, but to bear images of it is... another. A woman dressed in a kimono, standing in the kitchen with her hair bundled, knife in hand -- what did her face look like? Is it Nitocris’ presence in the body that fails to recall it? Or is it Ogata that doesn’t remember anymore?

      She doesn’t mean to pry! But, the more she remembers his words the more some of these bizarre memories surface. She tries not to think about it, but it’s difficult.

     “Hmph! You should have taken a memory loss medicine before this all happened, then. You fool. It’s not my fault you have a good brain. ...On the other hand, you must be lucky. You probably see me sitting in a throne, spoiled with luxury.” She throws her chin up, smile as smug as can be. From a surface, a large portion of her life truly was extravagant.

Ogata looks at the oblivious traitor Bastard blissfully purring away in another’s arms. The cat wouldn’t know any better, he supposes. He could have trained the cat be more amicable with strangers but this isn’t the kind of situation he expected to find himself in.

It feel like his pride chipped off a bit. 

“ Obviously “, he scoffs.

“ It can’t tell who it is in there. “

He gives another quiet kick to the Medjed that has returned to his side.

“ That’s why I called you in the first place.”

✫  𝐼𝒻 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝓈𝒾𝓂𝓅𝓁𝓎 𝒸𝑜𝓃𝓉𝒶𝒾𝓃 𝒽𝑒𝓇𝓈𝑒𝓁𝒻 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓈𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓁𝓁𝓈 with the cats, that would be ideal. But, Ogata’s explorative side is beginning to show itself, as is his general craving for adventure.

     “Well... I suppose it can’t be helped. You wouldn’t happen to know how long we’ll be like this, do you?”

      She would leave, but something tells her if she does Bastard will act up again.

      Which isn’t a problem in itself, but she doesn’t want her body getting marked. 

     “...Erm. Shall we eat? I think I want something in particular, but I don’t know what it is or how to make it. It’s got... it’s got fish, and it’s this... soup? Goodness, I don’t even know if I want it more than the fact that I keep seeing it. Is it something you know how to make?”

𝓕𝓸𝓸𝓵.

Ringing words still bounced around in his head. A date. A date. A date. Rarely does he put thought into most things, for a plethora of reasons but this one he couldn’t quite give an excuse to deny. So with consideration of that announcement he recalled some time back, and a little investigation that it was still ongoing, they arrived at his designed spot. Archimedes ward, crystal funhouse. Why exactly did he pick it?

Well it has fun in the title right? So, it should be fun. If not just for her, that would be alright. He stands to have nothing to gain from these experiences after all, but if she found happiness in them maybe it was okay. Or just bearable, but either way he hints to it with a gesture. “There. Is that good enough for you? Or do you want to go elsewhere?” She wouldn’t hurt his feelings, on the account of his stiffness anyway.

✫   𝒮𝓊𝓈𝓅𝑒𝓃𝒹𝑒𝒹 𝒾𝓃 𝓌𝑜𝓃𝒹𝑒𝓇, the Pharaoh floats about the glass displays reflecting her image everywhere she goes. Emiya’s words scarcely register amid her frolicking, but the fact that she's so taken should be a sufficient answer in itself. “No, this is marvelous! I did not expect you to take my words to heart,” nor remember them.

     “What inspired you to bring me here? Do you know about my Nether Mirror?” And how it was so woefully swept from her grasp when she left Chaldea? With rumors of it being decimated, she never thought she’d see it again. It still holds true, but this brings her quite close to home. “Aah, if only they could reflect my underlings in the Netherworld. I wonder how my darlings are doing without me there... that Ereshkigal -- I hope she is maintaining order there alongside Master Hassan.” Stopping before a mirror that comically distorts her shape with every movement, she begins to dip herself and wiggle so that it may contort her further. “Archer, come look, come look! What a funny thing this is!”

“ Oh you’re here. “ 

Ogata promptly ignores her distress. He finally got some hold of the situation, somehow - if the roommates were here they might be able to deal with Bastard better than lock her to the bathroom but this is the best result. 

“ About the time… “ he says, in commanding tone, voice slightly lower than her normal.  His foot is poking the confused Medjed, almost kicking it even leaving the creature in saddened distress.

“ Couldn’t be helped since you didn’t come faster. “

“  Bastard is in the bathroom. Go calm it down. “

✫   𝐹𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉𝓁𝓎, 𝒽𝑜𝓌 𝒹𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝒽𝑒. Secondly, how dare he! Nitocris hurries to her beloved Medjed, wrapping it in a protective embrace just to have It dig Its toes against her cheek in protest. 

     ...She painfully acknowledges that they do not recognize her, and accepts it with sorrow.

      Without realizing it, her hand is already coming up to brush her hair back -- something Ogata does timelessly. “Bastard? Do you mean Bullet?”

      No... Bullet is here! With acute realization, she runs to the bathroom door and flings the door open, just to see another adorable, sacred cat hissing in the middle of the floor. The aggression almost stops immediately and soon enough, she has a cat at her feet. Ogata doesn’t even need to look; she’s already making cooing and crooning noises from pure happiness. 

       “Ogata, I have been accepted!”

𝓢𝓱𝓸𝓹𝓴𝓮𝓮𝓹𝓮𝓻.

The question she proposes to the shopkeeper clearly surprises him; the vacancy of emotion in his eyes now easily showing as his mismatched gaze falls to her. From the moment their paths crossed, Watanuki could sense that there was something different about this woman– a power, perhaps, or something greater.. but he could not fathom just how heavy it may have weighed itself down on her shoulders.

“.. would I only be choosing this to escape my flaws? Or would it be something I truly wanted?” there is a softness attached to the words Watanuki now speaks, gently setting his pipe by his side as its embers grow dim; slowly burning themselves out. “There are decisions I have made in the past that I acted on because I believed they were right– but in the end, the things I chose only ended up hurting those I care about.” And inevitably, himself. “I thought I was doing the right thing, and yet.. my unhappiness became the reason for theirs.”

“There are many things we feel we must do, because it is our fate. It’s what we are destined to do.. but you must remember: in spite of that, the only one who can control that fate is yourself.”

He pauses, and although he knows nothing about her, there is genuine concern in his voice as he speaks again.

“.. will this path make you happy?”

✫  𝒫𝓊𝓇𝓈𝑒𝒹 𝓁𝒾𝓅𝓈 𝓈𝓉𝒾𝒻𝓁𝑒 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒾𝓂𝓅𝓊𝓁𝓈𝑒𝓈, thoughts actively diluting her confessions to a palatable level. Most days, she boasts ‘Pharaoh’ this, ‘Pharaoh’ that, but today, she hesitates. It is because she dares to speak of it in a less than amicable manner that she fears the repercussions.

     Being sharp, however, he may have noticed that her eyes now challenge his, as if acknowledging him as the mouthpiece of her inner voice. What tragedies has he witnessed? How many of them did he conceive? Were it not for one, single thing, she would dare think they were the same: regret. His words seem to carry an affliction within them that hers do not share. “It would be both. Your desires are based on the principle of erasing your flaws -- the very flaws that proved detrimental in your lifetime. Would you not wish for them to be undone?”

      It is a belief solely forged around the hypothetical question of ‘if’. If only she were competent during her time alive, perhaps things would have been different. The misery she reaped would not have come back to sow.

      “As for my happiness... that, I do not know. It matters not. If forsaking my humanity means I can amend my past errors and forge a better future, I believe it is only right to do. People look up to Gods because they are strong and worthy, do they not? Perhaps, I could be an example to learn from...”

It was quite a show - right first thing in the morning. Bastard had woken up and what followed was hissing, scratches and other things. Bastard is quick for a big cat. Doesn’t help that the Medjeds are scattering about unsure what to do about the wilding beast. It didn’t take long to figure out why but to find his phone in this mess was much more difficult than anything else.

✫   𝒪𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝒾𝓃 𝒞𝑜𝓃𝒹𝑜 𝟦𝟢𝟣, the limitations of one man’s voice is being tested. Without a doubt in the world, Ogata has never had his vocal cords stretched to such heights attempting such a shrill shriek. It cracks, painfully, and even as she frantically prances to his home, she still cannot fathom the phenomenon. 

       Unfortunately, what she thought was the worst of it was far from. Seeing him there, in her body... riddled with scratches...!! Nitocris immediately ruffles her (his) hair in a panic and dishevels the sleek locks.

     “What have you done to my body, you insolent fool! Surely, you have not had it for longer than an hour!” Her form is a sacred vessel for Horus! Does this mean she must respect him as such, now? No... no...

    “...Forgive me, Pharaoh Ozymandias. Forgive me, Osiris, Ra, and Horus, for I have disgraced you.” To top it off, she’s hungry. Servants don’t typically feel hunger, but everything she’s experiencing now is bizarrely human.

𝓕𝓸𝓸𝓵.

What did he do this time? Should he be taking a defensive stance to protect himself? Questions without answers came to mind as her reaction triggered them, his face back at her dumbfounded. “What. Did I accidentally kick one of your things?” The lot of them were short compared to him after all, without a care where he walked one of them were bound to get in his way.

Or was it something else? Without anything coming to mind, rolled eyes would give in to her command. “Nitocris. That is your name right? You only said it so many times.” Spouts of her wisdom, and so on. While he does little to pay attention to those bursts, the voice still registers. It’s only another sound to add in his head, but louder than the rest for it’s frequency.

At least, that’s what he thinks. Narrowing eyes would just stare at, her reddening face hinting.. embarrassment? Tch, what a fool. “Would you prefer I stick to idiot? It is easier to say.” It’s slight, but he does lightly widen lips. This much seemed very familiar, for one reason or another. 

✫  𝐼𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝒶 𝓁𝑒𝓈𝓈𝑜𝓃 𝓉𝑜 𝒷𝑒 𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓃𝑒𝒹 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝒾𝓇 𝓉𝒾𝓂𝑒 𝓉𝑜𝑔𝑒𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇, it is that imprecisions are lost on him. Applying layers to her statements means that he will simply take them all at face value rather than digress further into their intent. It is how she’s successfully squandered two years away with seemingly no progress whatsoever. Seemingly.

      The very utterance of her name seems monumental. It has gotten to the point she no longer expects anything from him, but he may yet prove her wrong. “It is not easier to say. How insolent of you. It is simply that your mouth is not used to it.” With time, her influence will loosen that iron grip on his maw.

       For now, she must learn to better herself as well. He cannot be the only one making progress; how dare he show up a Pharaoh. “...Thank you. You have made me... happy. This moment shall be cherished.” She will start with honesty, “--take me on one of these ‘dates’,” and be as transparent as can be.

the muffled screaming seems to be coming from the direction of his bad ear―he nearly misses beneath the whistle of the wind, but just when he turns to investigate his suspicions, the hand breaks through with a light thump against his back. it will take far more to startle his poker face, but jotaro does raise a sharp brow at the little critters. then at those accompanying ears. a rabbit? they are not his field of study, the non-marine. “… … …”

and although he cannot make heads or tails of what she is prattling, even he is not so cruel to swat her off. brusque at most, jotaro dives one hand into the snow and―with disturbingly little effort―fishes her out entirely by the back of her collar. he cants his head toward the medjed. “are these yours?”

✫  𝐸𝑒𝓅! 𝒲𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒸𝑜𝓁𝑜𝓈𝓈𝒶𝓁 𝓈𝓉𝓇𝑒𝓃𝑔𝓉𝒽! This man registers as an ordinary mortal, but he’s the parameters of a Servant. She musn’t squirm, she musn’t squirm, she musn’t squirm! Maintain the grace and dignity of a queen, Pharaoh Nitocris! No matter how infantile she feels dangling before this man! No matter how heavy words of scorn feel on her tongue! ( Nobody should be treating a God this way after all, but he did aid her. )

      “Yes, they are.” Precisely speaking, they belong to Osiris, but she needn’t mention it. As a matter of fact, she’ll regain her composure enough mid-air to put her hands on her hips. She will proceed with the behavior of any typical person not currently suspended by the collar. “As you have aided me, I will prepare a fitting reward for you. ...However. The Medjed appear to be comfortable. Furthermore, I cannot travel with them efficiently in this storm. Will you bring us home?”

𝓦𝓸𝓵𝓯.

“ Come again? Don’t think I heard you too well. ” He responds to her teasingly. “ You said singing, right? ” And there he goes with that dumb smile of his. He’ll keep it down to a minimum as he wishes to not offend the dear Pharaoh. But alas, sometimes he just couldn’t help himself.

“ Well there’s plenty of places ‘round here that could use those sorts of talents. Though what I’m curious about is how you’d wanna approach that? Like would you wanna keep it sorta low key and sing at lounges and stuff like that, or do you wanna make this a full-blown sort of career? Y’know, major superstar and all that. Thousands and thousands of fans all cheering your name and lining up for concerts. ”

✫  𝐻𝓂𝓅𝒽! 𝒯𝑒𝓈𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓁𝓊𝒸𝓀 𝒶𝑔𝒶𝒾𝓃𝓈𝓉 𝒶 𝒫𝒽𝒶𝓇𝒶𝑜𝒽... how brazen, and one step shy from peak foolishness. He appears to be well-intended, however, so she refrains from lashing her tongue and idly considers his questions. Singing has always been a source of comfort for her, but never has she disclosed an interest in it.

      Asides from the occasional praise she would offer that one Bathory girl, nobody could tell. “You truly are offering me suggestions. I did not expect you to take it so seriously.” At the very thought of gaining an audience to hear her sing, color springs back to her cheeks. “A-A Pharaoh should be respected and worshipped at all times! However, if I were to use my voice, I would like for it to be appreciated... organically. I would start small! And climb the ladder through talent alone. Is that... is that fair?”

𝒬𝓊𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝑜𝒻 𝒞𝑜𝓃𝓃𝒶𝒸𝒽𝓉.

Medb listens carefully, always curious to learn about things she was otherwise unaware of. Egyptian gods were no exception. So, upon being presented with pictures so suddenly, Medb stares with wide, eager eyes.

“Pfft.”

Her cheeks balloon up before she can help herself, and the Queen snickers; it soon turns into a full blown giggle, then a bout of laughter. The Medjed were hardly what Medb expected, but the pictures she was presented with, coupled with Nitocris’ reaction, leave her far too amused. It was like watching a proud mother showing off pictures of her children, or a pet owner fawning over an animal. Medb found it both hilarious and quaint.

“They’re adorable!”

“Ufufu! Do you have any more pictures of them? I want to see them!”

✫  𝒮𝓊𝒸𝒽 𝓊𝓃𝒸𝑜𝓃𝓈𝓉𝓇𝒶𝒾𝓃𝑒𝒹 𝓁𝒶𝓊𝑔𝒽𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝓁𝑒𝒹 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓉𝑜 𝓂𝒾𝓈𝒸𝑜𝓃𝓈𝓉𝓇𝓊𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑜𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇'𝓈 𝒾𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈 𝒶𝓉 𝒻𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉, but any doubts she had died alongside the endearing compliment presented soon after. 

      “I do. I may not be the most adept with this world’s technology, but I have become quite proficient in mastering the camera function.”

       How else could she document the daily shenanigans of her dearly beloveds otherwise? She proceeds to televise a slideshow of pictures to the Queen as they walk, displaying them in an array of scenarios ranging from them standing on top of one another to raid the snack pantry to kickboxing a pillow. After the fiftieth picture, she begins to grow self-aware. They’ve already arrived at the store, but she’s still emptying her reel.

      “Ah! It appears I’ve gotten carried away. I apologize. I was not fortunate enough to raise any little ones of my own, so perhaps the Medjed were a blessing to me in this life.” 

       History does tend to omit the more intimate details of one’s life.

      “Did you have any heirs, Queen of Connacht?”

The events occurred at a speed too rapid for his senses to keep pace; there was another who had produced herself as barrier between himself and the garish creature before the both of them were removed from its path by her momentum altogether. Against the uneven terrain they crashed, the hiss of something sinister still nearby serving as reminder they were still far from out of the woods.

But firstly, his concern fell with the woman who had saved him. “Miss, are you alright?” Flames which flickered in her eyes were invisible to his own, the full scope of the peril into she had placed herself unknown. Beyond her form, the black static moved again, appearing to gather its bearings; insinuating they had a window, albeit it short.

She became the focus of his sights again, intent on assessing if any harm had befallen the woman before they be dragged onto their feet and take off. “Are you hurt at all? I don’t know if playing dead would fool that creature and couldn’t dare put you at any more risk than I already have to find out”.

✫  𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓅𝓇𝑒𝓈𝓈𝑒𝓈 𝒾𝓃𝓉𝑜 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒷𝒶𝒸𝓀 is more like a guiding hand, coaxing her to push forward lest she festers in its blaze. It aches, but she is fine. More importantly, she’s relieved to see that he’s survived the encounter unscathed. No matter how reckless or selfish her way of thinking is, in the end, death comes easier to one who’s experienced it than one who has not. She would not wish that feeling upon anyone. 

      ...Or so she thinks, but contrary to her heroic gesture, he’s stringing her along with the intention of preserving their livelihoods. “Creature?” Terror does possess a talent for perverting the insentient -- even the skirts of a flame can animate as tendrils on a molten beast when fear pollutes the mind amply enough. “No. I don’t believe that method will work. As long as we stick together, I believe we will push through.” 

       Power in numbers, yes? Nitocris designates a seemingly abandoned building as their cove, leaping forth to kick the door down with the aid of her Medjed trio. It may have been excessive, but as a Pharaoh, she has to showcase her strengths at every opportunity. “We should be able to take shelter here. We may either hide in the basement for protection or amble to the rooftops. Which do you prefer?”

𝓐𝓶𝓲𝓬𝓪𝓫𝓵𝓮 𝓞𝓷𝓮.

⚡ Zenitsu is sitting there, listening to her carefully. And with all focus on her, he can hear how happy she is to tell more about her own world. It is a bit of a win-win. A lot here like to talk about their homes, and he actually learns more about them. The more he knows, the less threatening this all comes to be. Or so he hopes, anyway. Dynasties. Was that similiar to the Era’s in japan? And pharao’s like the great Emperors? It was said that the emperors once were descents from great gods as well, after all.

“Hm. No, I’m sorry. I never heard of Horus or Ra before. I’m not particulary religious though. There are only a few traditions I maintain that I know from my gramps. But, emperor Jimmu, the first emperor of Japan, was said to be a descent of the sun goddess, Amaterasu.”

✫  𝒜𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎 𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝓉, his citations ascertain his Eastern heritage. “...I see.” Perhaps once upon a time, the very utterance of someone’s agnosticism would have upset her. “Belief of the Higher Gods was paramount in my time. Nonbelievers were far and few between, though so long as they refrained from committing blasphemy against the Pharaohs and paid their taxes, we permitted them to be. Since arriving here, since... since arriving at Chaldea, I have learned to humble myself.” 

      Of course, she’s still her insurmountable pride as a Pharaoh, but no longer does she forcibly feed her status unto others. “That is interesting! So there are others in this world with similar ideologies. If this Emperor Jimmu is kin to Amaterasu, then you would learn of me as Horus, the God of the Sky, as well as the God of the Netherworld.” Did Japan have a Sky God as well? “Among us, we devote ourselves to Ra, our God of the Sun. He is the principal ruler of the world, as well as the one who governs over all.” Yet, when she recalls her memories of Pharaoh Ozymandias, her expression dampens. “...The citizens here seem happy, despite having no deity to worship. May Thoth forgive me for bearing this thought, but it would appear to me that they are happy to be free.”
