I Need More Time

I was hurt when you decided not to talk to me anymore. But I never forgotten you – all those times we spent together, all those laughters and tears we've shared... There are things I regret in life, but loving you was never one of them. The one thing that I regret right now is that I'm still not strong enough to face pain and reality. I know I should be over it but I just need a little more time – a little more time for my mind to think and a little more time for my heart to heal. I know it's been a year... and I miss you too, so much; I really do. I wish I could say that I'm going to be fine and that I'll be able to work this out with you and be friends again, but I would be lying if I do. We Just Fall

We don't choose who we fall in love with. We just fall. Sometimes it turns into something great, and wonderful, and lasts throughout our lifetimes. And sometimes it does not turn out the way we want it to and just ends. When I was a child, I'd never be home. I'd be out with my friends, on our bikes we would roam. I'd wear holes in my trainers and graze up my knees. We'd build our own clubhouse, high up in the trees. Now the parks are so quiet, it gives me a chill to see no children outside and the swings hanging still. There's no skipping, no hopscotch, no church, and no steeple. We're a generation of idiots, smart phones, and dumb people. So look up from your phone, shut down that display. Take in your surroundings, make the most of today. Just one real connection is all it can take to show the difference that being there can make… So look up from your phone, shut down those displays. We have a finite existence, a set number of days. Don't waste your life getting caught in the net as when the end comes nothing's worse than regret. I am guilty too of being part of this machine, in this digital world, where we're heard but not seen, where we type as we talk and we read as we chat, where we spend hours together without making eye-contact. So don't give into a life where you follow the hype. Give people your love, don't give them you "like". Disconnect from the need to be heard and defined. Go out into the world, leave distractions behind. Look up from your phone, shut down that display. Stop watching this video, live life the real way. -Gary Turk
