So I asked Harvey Smith about the player choice between Corvo and Emily in Dishonored 2 and what happens to the person you don’t pick.
Dishonored playable characters + teleportation abilities
Billie Lurk's life, which can be summed up as babysitting
Bonus :
pale shadow, scared of the sun
I followed bc of your dishonored 2 art. I especially love the ladies of that game!
ah so you were playing dh2 with the true emily mentality
(links // tip jar!)
with one of dishonoreds themes being that everyone with any power over anyone sooner or later abuses it, I think saving the outsider is the perfect end to the story. he was an orphan sacrificed by the cult who wanted power of the void, so when he is saved by billie who couldve just killed him and is allowed to live the human life he had lost, the story thematically comes full circle. this is also why this ending is canon to me.
daud hating the outsider for giving him powers is lowkey v funny to me. because Im sorry daud but noone forced you to take the money from burrows and kill the empress. yes, the outsider giving his mark to a professional assassin is Not Good, but that doesnt really free daud from the responsibility of using them the way he did. and in the end it felt as if he was still unable to face that reality.
joke thats been done for a decade
"mom, can we have Corvosider height difference"
"no, we have Corvosider height difference at home"
the Corvosider height difference at home:
"Daud's men. Secrets so well kept - even I cannot discern the truth."
