make a terrible comic day.... i missed it last year but not now
Sometimes when I wake up, all I can look forward to is the day ending.
reblog this for good luck
Got into WHA a short while ago, and i can't help but wonder,
Where are the children's parents???
(MILD SPOILERS FOR THE WITCH HAT ATELIER MANGA)
I mean, I get that some parents might take on their own children as apprentices (Adina rejected Agott as an apprentice, and it seems that in higher-born/noble witch families that apprenticeships pass on between generations), but for the children and families who don't do this, do they ever keep in touch??
Nobody at Qifrey's atelier seem to keep in touch with their parents. Sure, Coco petrified her mother and Agott isn't on the best terms with hers, but what about Tetia and Richeh??
I guess it can be assumed that Richeh and Riliphin might not keep as much contact with their parents, considering that nobody tried to keep them together or inquire about their welfare much when they left their old master/atelier (on that note, did anyone report their old master for abuse?? Does he still take in students?? I sure hope not).
But Tetia??? That bundle of joy?? Where are her parents??? Unless she's an orphan...
It's interesting the different family dynamics there are between the Witch and unknowing societies. I assume that children in the unknowing society generally/are expected to stay with their families, whereas witch families are more lenient in sending their children off to what's essentially boarding school, and I guess they just have to trust and hope that they'll be well taken care of.
And yeah, I guess there are Watchful Eyes that are meant to ensure safety, but the manga points out that they're not always the best. Olruggio is an example of a 'good' WE in that he actively looks out for the wellbeing of the students (even if he doesn't necessarily report everything to the Great Hall). Luluci and Ellien, Richeh and Riliphin, and Euini could all be used as examples of a poor Watchful Eye, or at least the poor regulations and safety measures when it comes to the policing of Masters. I feel like there would need to be an impartial third party to check in on the welfare of an atelier, as opposed to just a Master and the WE.
Do the parents ever inquire about their children? Do they just let them go like how mother seals have to leave their babies behind?? I'm gonna guess it takes years to complete the 4 tests at least (5 seems more optional), are the families just waiting around for their children to come home?? What about the children who never do come home? Or the children who for whatever reason no longer have a home to go home to? What do the children even consider 'home' as, eventually?
Too any questions in that last para, sorry for that.
This bug has took over my brain
I LOVE BRUSHBUDDY SO MUCH WTFADHJSFBKDBFKDBFJDBEJSNJFN
If brushbuddy were a religion TRUST THAT I WOULD LAY DOWN MY LIFE AS A HIGH PRIESTESS AND GLADLY SERVE UNTIL MY DYING DAY
Sometimes I look at brushbuddy and get the demure urge to collapse to my knees and weep from childhood joy and wonder and amazement and love and whimsy-
i think many people forgot about eryenne (or ellien), one of luluci's peers whilst they were apprentices under that DEGENERATE PERV.
I wonder how she is now, how she feels about luluci joining the knights of moralis. becuse they're pretty corrupt, especially after easthies's little tantrum, now what?
overall, I wish all the best to her
the early 20’s are so complicated bc some people don’t fully grow out of being a teenager until 24 and other people are fully baked mature adults at 21
how do i become productive im 19 and useless
i don’t know i’m 26 and useless
I watched Witch hat atelier. Brushbuddy is so cute and funny❤️❤️❤️
I kinda wish i'd gotten into witch hat atelier earlier... I mean, I'd heard about it from one panel I saw on Pinterest years ago and I think I meant to read the manga, but I was caught up in other stuff back then.
Better late than never I guess?
Happy pride month to the tiny cowboy and tiny Trojan man from Night at the Museum
This hands down the best comment in the notes, I will not be taking criticism.
I wrote my first fanfiction
AND POSTED IT
I'm surprised at myself that I haven't really written fanfiction before. I've written stuff before... on quotev (you'll never find it-), but never anything for ao3, so this is a bit of an event for me!
It's about Rose Vanderboom, my shayla. I dont know if it classifies as a character study, but I wanted to explore her life a bit. I know that the Rusty Lake games aren't super character driven, and it's more the world of it you explore, but she's stuck in my brain.
If anyone wants to read it, it's Galatea (I Wanna See If The Curse Is Real) yeah... I might have been inspired by Madeline Miller's short story Galatea. (Just a heads up that only registered users can read it-). There's 2 chapters so far, so... yeah! I did a thing!!
Yay :D
im NOT feeling shrimptastic im going to KRILL myself
sorry for the poor quality, I got inspired
