“--ow does my hair look? Good? Do I have any smudges on my gla--what do you mean we’re rolling? Okay, then just edit this out when you’re done!”
There is a moment of barely-audible muttering, as the man on the screen glares at a point just to the right of the camera. His hair is rich auburn, braided neatly at the nape of his neck, and it makes for a good contrast when all the color rushes out of his face.
“You didn’t tell me this was going to be live,” hisses Baron Rook, and the answering whimper of “I thought you knew!” is clearly audible from off-screen.
He takes a deep breath. He takes another. He turns his glare on the camera itself, and manages to resist the urge to yell, or throw something, or indulge in one of a hundred nervous tics. If something particularly unkind about a certain Viscountess crosses his mind, he doesn’t say it.
“Greetings, citizens of our noble country, and to all our welcome visitors. I have been chosen to give you some happy news in these trying times: your pleas have been heard, and Vraelgard’s esteemed nobles are now available to speak with directly.”
Rook forces a smile onto his face. “In honor of this--unprecedented development--our whole Council will be available to answer your questions for the next week, after which point our duties may keep us from prompt response.” Another deep, deep breath. “Isn’t that delightful?”
“Right. Well. That should be everything. Send us your questions, and we shall endeavor to give you the answers you so eagerly crave. And thank you to Viscountess Dawn for volunteering me to make this announcement. I am nothing short of honored.”
The silence stretches out. Baron Rook shoots a dirty look at the poor soul behind the camera. “Well? Are we done?”

The AMA will last from Monday, June 1st through Monday, June 8th. This is a mini-event to kick off the nobles blog, and thus won’t count for rank ups, but we hope you’ll participate!
