PROGRESS REPORT 040 // May 25, 2018 Piano with a focus on developing a clear, catchy melody through rhythm. I like the staccato versus legato, so much more personality.
PROGRESS REPORT 039 // May 24, 2018 Strings with some mixing for reverb for a fuller timbre. I really like how somber but glorious the sound came out. I’m pretty proud of this piece, especially given the amount of time I worked on it.
PROGRESS REPORT 038 // May 23, 2018 Experimentation with an interesting melody to put on reverb. More comfortable with the different pitches of snare and clap sounds. Loops well. Varying the rhythm more often.
PROGRESS REPORT 037 // May 22, 2018 A short but more deliberate creation that loops. Electric piano with rain in the background. Fun to make and could progress off it. Soundcloud upload temporarily since Tumblr’s broken.
PROGRESS REPORT 036 // May 21, 2018 Strings provoke such poignant emotion. I really like how I’m more comfortable using blocked chords now rather than relying on arpeggios. I hope to experiment more with the left hand.
PROGRESS REPORT 035 // May 20, 2018 I’m in college now, but it’s summer. I’m resuming my daily composition uploads so I can make a habit of self-improvement and creativity usage. This was an improvisation with quick clean-up.
The Sleepless Dreamer.
PROGRESS REPORT 034 // June 24, 2017 Worked pretty hard, yet need more mysterious vibes. Going to redo again, but a little more optimistic with gradual improvement, even if slow. Also glad that this song didn’t turn out melancholic because that string was depressing.
PROGRESS REPORT 033 // June 23, 2017 Very quick improvisation, much more time dedicated to editing past pieces and sorting through them. This one’s rushed to simply showed that I worked today, but looking forward to getting a lot done over the weekend.
PROGRESS REPORT 032 // June 22, 2017 Yesterday, I was feeling satisfied with myself for my work. Today, I opened up the program with the intention of continuing the piece yet… it was so melancholic I was aghast. It doesn’t even sound mysterious– which was the goal– so failure. What was past me thinking. But for a sad piece, yes sure it wins, even if it wasn’t what I was looking for. So I’m adding it to my portfolio now because it’s a mood™ even if not the mood, and composing yet another version from scratch. EDIT;; Null and void this audio post. I worked on FL Studio that day, but it looks like I uploaded the same file two days in a row. Could repost, but the other compositions are not for public eye right now. Regardless, been working a lot, just selectively choosing. OTL
PROGRESS REPORT 031 // June 21, 2017 Another pseudo-improvisation with minimal editing. Was working on another composition for the majority of the time, but won’t be releasing that until it’s released with the game or if I replace the piece with a more innovative draft. Until then, it’ll probably be improvisations and discarded drafts so I can have more time to focus on work.
PROGRESS REPORT 030 // June 20, 2017 Woo, a month’s worth streak! This is commemoration. Six minutes of unedited continuous impromptu. Even if it’s not clean by any means, I’m just really happy with myself, reflecting on self-improvement. And that I could pull off that much inspiration and so many recoveries whenever I tripped or struck an off chord. I even changed keys midway pretty decently. Some of it actually sounds pretty good, so I might split off parts to continue composing their own songs.
PROGRESS REPORT 029 // June 19, 2017 Quick improvisation since I was studying music theory instead of gung-ho composing headfirst. Found some helpful resources, and I hope I can showcase what I learned in the coming pieces. I went one-take impromptu without editing any notes or their velocities, so it’s not clean even though decent. Except maybe the ending haha.
Hi everyone!!
Thank you all so much for providing support to Desiderium! Though the game has just begun it’s development stages, I’m really grateful to everyone that was willing to lend a helping hand to make the game possible! There were many wonderful applications to choose from, it was really hard to make a solid decision in some cases! To every applicant, regardless of your acceptance, thank you for reaching out to me and showing that you care! It makes me all warm and bubbly inside, and I wish you all luck in your future endeavors! Without further ado, here are the people helping me make the game a reality!! \o/

We’ll start featuring update logs in this blog as we go along with the development of the game. Please look forward to our posts!
PROGRESS REPORT 028 // June 18, 2017 More than five hours’ work translating into twenty seconds. Nevertheless, it was fun to experiment, and I’m satisfied with today’s energy investment. Also, heads up that I’m composing for Desiderium. Please follow the game dev blog and support us.
PROGRESS REPORT 027 // June 17, 2017 Simple slow melody, hushed. Manual ritardando and decrescendo. Did experiment with the notes and their velocity. EDIT;; Holy smokes, I’ve got to up the volume. Welp, apologies.
