SMOG2 installation at LHCb Experiment.
Smog2 in LHCb. How it opens
All these buildings are CERN Meyrin site. CERN Prevessin site is located 5 minutes far from here (by car). Then there is the LHC. 27km long and 100meters underground, and it's 8 access points and sites. 4 of these access points have huge experiments and installations that goes with them, of course. When we were sent home for our security during this pandemic, it felt like sending all my universe home. When people ask me how CERN is doing with these pandemic I always think that it is hard to explain the scale of my workplace: the complexity of the space, the variety of jobs and contracts, the extraordinary diversity of nationalities and backgrounds and the logistics behind it.
