"Phobos."
"Like...uhm," his eyebrows furrow, trying to remember what God Phobos is. "I can't remember what he's the god of, sorry."
"Not everyone is blessed like me. It’s all a part of you. I’ve always known I was special, so I cant tell you how to figure it out. I’ve got wonderful control though."
Noel sighs, disappointed at the answer, but not surprised. "I figured it would be something like that. I guess I'll just start training here and see where that takes me...maybe I'll get lucky and figure it all out sooner than I think I will."
"Don’t worry, it’ll all come together over time." He pats his cheek.
"Yeah, okay," he nods, then moves his head away as Felix's hand gets closer. "What about, uhm, that special powers stuff? Like, based off of your parent? How do you get that to work?"
"Patrick."
"Alright, Pat," he smirks and pushes off the wall he had ended up leaning against, "I'll see you around."
"We’re demigods. We’re in danger no matter what we do. So we train and hope we last long enough to have to worry about wrinkles. Sorry hunny, but your DNA will put you in danger for the rest of your life."
He nods, sighing, "It makes sense, I guess."
Because it isn’t normal for randoms to just show up unanounced. Does Felix know you’re here?
Yeah, I think he's the one who found me? I'm not even sure. We talked, though. He explained stuff.
"Simple. People are afraid of change. They like the comfort of what they’re used to."
"Aren't they putting themselves in danger, though?"
"Fighting is opetional. At least here it is. So long story short, The gods of Olympus think they get to run things without any retaliation. So some of the gods said ‘fuck that’ and left. Now there a battle between the gods and here we have protection. And if you like, you can get a little revenge on the gods that have neglected us since our birth."
"Why wouldn't all of the demigods come here for protection?"
He looks up briefly. “Oh. Uh. I used to. But I practiced a lot and found little tricks to help me through it.”
"Oh, cool," he shrugs. "What's that book about?"
Sebastian is sitting in one of the lounges reading about plants with natural healing properties and the chemicals and natural oils in the while eating his dinner.
Noel wanders in, probably exploring around the rooms and what-not and getting used to the new atmosphere when he spots Sebastian. "You don't have trouble reading things?"
Felix sighs. “I hate orientation. Okay, let me hear what you get and what you don’t. Then I’ll fill in the blanks.”
"I mean...I get a lot of it. The gods are real, they still have kids, we're examples of that. It just seems surreal? And then, what's going on with the fighting and the other place I heard about with the kids like us? Why are we separate?"
She nods. “Yeah, all of us here are.”
"So...who's your parent?"
[nods and raises an eyebrow] When did you get here?
"About a day or two ago. Why?"
Patrick ignores his comment. “You’ll fit right it.”
"What a warm welcome." Noel grins before leaning closer to Pat. "I still never got that name of yours, though."
She smiles and then looks at his hand before carefully placing her gloved one in it. “Nice to meet you,” she says, still smiling, glad the new gloves will keep the power in her touch from affecting Noel.
"The pleasure's all mine." Noel looks at her more curiously now, "So, you're like me? The demigod stuff, I mean? I'm still not really an expert."
"Do I need to give you a tour or are you self sufficient?"
"I'd like to think I'm self sufficient. However, I'm still a little confused on what all of this stuff even means?"
"Felix Amir, Sweetheart. Don’t forget it because I’ll be the most important person you will ever meet."
"Yeah, alright. I'll try not to."
