Tony: I work, sometimes, and I’ll put up with anything. Like I’ll have a job at some garbage company, and I don’t wanna name an actual company so let’s just make one up, let’s call it like, Stark Industries. So I’ll have a job at “Stark Industries.” And I’ll show up in the boardroom, and I go “Can we make improvements now, please?” And the board members go “No, those make us money.” And I go “Okay!” And then I go to the bathroom. And then I come out of the bathroom and I go “Any updates?” And the board members go “Yeah, we forced you out of the company while you were in the bathroom. Because we hate you. Now take this spot on a superhero team that sucks, go, fetch!” And I go “Okay!” And I go over to the Avengers and I say “Can I be a superhero, please?” And they go “NO.” And I go “Okay!” And they go “You’re an unlovable narcissistic war profiteer, aren’t you?” And I go “No~” and they go “SAY IT.” And I go “I’m an unlovable narcissistic war profiteer.” And then I go over to the Marvel Comics Creative Team which is an oxymoron and I go “Can I please have something nice happen to me? For once?” And they go “No! In fact, we’re gonna assassinate your character! And your solo runs are gonna be unreadable for 30 years!” And I go “Why are you doing this to me?” And they go “Because we’re Marvel Comics! And life is a fucking nightmare!”
Tony: But with my girlfriend Rumiko, she would just be like “Come on let’s go for a motorcycle drive and have a cute slice-of-life thing.” So it’s better.

Iron Man 2 was funny as fuck like imagine you’re battling a terminal illness and at the end of what is arguably the worst week of your life some guy shows up and is like “we’ve been conducting a secret job interview for a position you didn’t apply for and we’ve decided to reject you” and you just go “alright fuck you too then” and revolutionize the energy business.

being a comics fan is like i could give you some general information abt any given character but i'm not necessarily a scholar of theirs you would have to see a specialist to be sure. the same way like in a pinch a pediatrist could tell you you were having a heart attack but you probably want to follow up with a cardiologist
