We're kicking off with MATRIMONIAL MONDAY: works that feature weddings, marriage, divorce, and other ritual law joinings.
Show us your wedding planning slices-of-life, your wet and wild wedding night smut, or your nastiest heart-rending messy divorce epistolaries.
To rec, simply REPLY to this or any other daily Themed post on any platform, or make your own reclist or post:
DISCORD - use the #look-what-I-found channel
TUMBLR - tag @cap-ironman in you rec post and use #capimrecweek
BLUESKY - tag @cap-ironman in your post and use #capimrecweek
DREAMWIDTH - the perfect option if you want to rec anonymously!
Don't forget to let us know why you're reccing the work and please mark any major warnings. Do keep in mind: Discord and other socials are increasingly walled garden space; fan creators cannot see you gushing about their work in server/chat, so PLEASE make sure you return to the source and leave creators the praise they deserve! Most importantly, HAVE FUN curating.

today's reason I fucking love the open source community: Ageless Linux, a brand new Debian-based operating system specifically designed to break the law by giving children access to computers that explicitly refuse to track their age.
reblog this post to help a child break the law
oh goddamn this whole page goes so hard actually, please go read it. what an impressive, visceral takedown of this dumb law
As of June 29, 2026 the law discussed here is a recently passed California state law (AB 1043) that requires age validation before using a computer connected to the internet. This is expected to happen at the operating system level, when you login to Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc.
Ageless Linux intends to force the issue before the California state supreme court, then ultimately (probably) the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). It's a stupid, dangerous law, voted into place by legislators who either don't understand the core issue OR knowingly voted for it because they're assholes.
California is an influential state in the US. Many laws & regulations passed there eventually trickle out to most states. That's why it's worrisome to see this kind of thing rammed through, and why it's important to fight it.
Also, it doesn't matter if you use Linux or not. Or whether you live in California or not. Visit their site, read the text, learn what's going on with access to computing in this hellscape timeline.

Hey. Why isnāt the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isnāt that fucked up? Does anyone else think thatās absurd?
It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! Thatās a big deal! Iāve never thought about it before but now that I have, itās ridiculous to me that thatās not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why donāt we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!
Itās July 20th. Thatās the day of the moon landing. Next year is going to be the 54th anniversary. Iām ordering astronaut shaped cookie cutters on Etsy and Iām going to have a goddamn potluck. Youāre all invited.
Hey. Hey. Tumblr. Ides of March ppl. We can do this
Hell yeah moon holiday
Ooh coming up we should celebrate
PITCH: We call it Moon Day, and then every 7 years when it falls on a Monday, that's an even BIGGER deal and we call that Moon Day Monday and go absolutely apeshit about it (the next Moon Day Monday is in 2026 so we have a couple trial runs first)
MOON DAY MOON DAY MOON DAY
moon day is 20th July!!!
Scheduling this a day earlier to remind you all and myself about the Moon Day tomorow!
I scheduled this in 2025 to give you all a week to make Moon Day Monday preparations! I think I will order a little rocket cake or bake some moon phase cookies!
It's coming, cousins. ...This could be as big as March 15th if we made it that way...
do you have a wip? have you worked on your wip? will you work on your wip? when will you work on your wip?
this is so cursed it's going on my blog
Hilarious to me that Tony didnāt start out with the āIron Man is Tony Starkās bodyguardā ruse. In the early days it was like this:
(Tales of Suspense #44)
Even funnier is that the bodyguard story kind of developed as a consequence of this. It went "coincidence" -> "he's a friend" -> "he's a good friend who checks up on me often" -> "he's always close at hand" -> "he's my bodyguard"
I'll never forget that the first person to come up with the "iron man must work for starkk" explanation was a villain. and when handed over with this perfect alibi on a silver platter... tony just rebuffs it in the most awkward way possible š
