Noka in Isekai

A blatant self insert into a generic isekai world. An attempt at building up a character over time, starting from scratch. Any and all interactions are more than welcome!

⚠ Encounter!: A sudden relative difficulty spike! A Lv.2 Goblin, on his own, armed with an old and beaten up dagger and loincloth, stands in your way but hasn't yet noticed you! Defeating him will pretty much guarantee you can get a weapon, but can you really take it on without a weapon to begin with?

A...goblin, of all things? Sure it didn’t look like much, but appearances could be deceiving! Even if all she saw was him, the dagger, and loincloth...Noka peered at his back, debating what to do. It would be bad if she just...didn’t try to take him out, right? So she gathered her courage and slowly approached, as quietly as she could.

That part, at least, was a success! With a small smile on her face, she got even closer, until she was just arms length away from him. Gathering the last of her courage, she wrapped her arms around his neck, ignoring the way he was flailing as she slowly tried to crush the life out of his neck. It was...difficult, especially with her low strength stat.

And that wasn’t even to mention the goblin desperately stabbing at her arms with his dagger. Old as it was, though, it was only dealing chip damage to her. Even that was adding up, though, and she was breathing heavily by the time the goblin’s movements began to slow, and by the time it was actually dead. Geez...how much had that taken from her? Shaking her head, she picked up what he had on him.

The loincloth...she didn’t see much value in. The dagger either, honestly, but at least it was something other than her bare fists! Now, she wondered how much EXP she had gotten...

“...Huh, that’s convenient. I won’t really be able to make calls or texts o-” she paused, a thought coming to her. “Wait...with this...I’ll never be bored in this place again! I have so many games on this thing! Though I guess none of the gacha games will work here...a-anyway, it’ll be useful for taking notes, pictures, all sorts of things!”

⚠ Encounter!: A wild Lv.1 Blue Slime has appeared! Good Luck!

“A s-s-s-s-slime!?” she stammered out, not sure what to do. Sure, it was the weakest enemy imaginable...but her strength stat, it was super low! And slimes were known to be rather resilient to straight up punching. Why couldn’t she get a useful spell like Fireball!? Either way, it was slowly inching closer, and she noticed that. “Ahhhh...!”

And screaming her head off Noka just began wildly flailing at the slime, eyes tightly shut and teeth clenched. It was nasty, the feeling of its goo on her knuckles...but eventually she smashed it into mush, though in the process it had managed to injure her a little bit.

All in all, it seemed she gained 10 EXP!
