â : Patching up a wound
intimacy hell yeah â accepting
The Hunter would be lying if he claimed that he didnât flinch away from the Warlockâs touch as surprisingly gentle hands explore the tear in his back. Laurens had been planning to press on and leave the wound to close itself - a tactic that had worked well enough for him in the past when Ice had refused to help him. Not that he could blame the Ghost. He had dragged her away from the Tower and as such, the Traveler.Â
Eyes fix on the ground before him, listening to the crackle of the fire beside the pair as Pumpkinâs hands are warm against his cold frame. âY-You donât have to--Ah!â
Tentative tones are cut of as pain jolts through the open wound over his spine - stark eyes widening as the nomad spins on the Warlock behind him with gritted teeth shown in something akin to a snarl. Though the defensive act is hated in its tracks at the sight of slightly bloodied hands raised in surrender - a piece of sizeable shrapnel pressed between two fingers and a small smile on her face. âCouldnât have you wandering around with this sticking out of your back now could we?â
â : Patching up a wound
intimacy hell yeah â accepting
Bright eyes watch intently as the smaller Hunter unwraps the rags heâd found to patch up the still not healed break in his ankle. Little did Laurens know that heâd broken the skin in the Fallen attack as well as bone - the burning sensation as raw flesh is met with the cool winter air around them. A hiss is heard through gritted teeth as tender hands investigate the wound still burning his nerve endings - as it turns out, ignoring an injury and hoping it would go away isnât the best idea in the world.Â
Ice hovers worriedly over the Hunterâs shoulder, watching intently as Ila finds clean bandages (a rarity this far out in the Wilds) and begins to patch up the wound firmly enough that it would also support the fracture sitting deep in his ankle.
âHowâd you manage this again?â Her voice is soft though firm enough to drag the nomad from his daze staring down at her hands working away at his injury - for someone that doesnât allow his Ghost to heal him, Laurens is severely lacking in the medical knowledge department.
âUh. Fallen ambush? Been hijacking their supplies for a while. Or at least I think it was... I kinda hit my head at the same time. I think. Thatâs what Ice told me anyway.â Laurens voice hitches up a few octaves as the bandage is pulled tight again against his skin, causing him to tense against her hands for a second before forcing himself to just relax and leave her to her job. The thing with being a loner out this far was that Laurens never ended up with anyone helping him - it takes a while to adjust to someone trying to help you after spending most of your lives avoiding all contact with anyone but the local Warlord.
//just letting everyone know that i think im taking a break from tumblr for a few days - ill get to my owed stuff on all my blogs eventually and sorry for the delay but im just,,, not doing too well at the moment.\\
;//laurens despises the Tower. Like. A lot. his leaving is a sensitive topic to say the least and he regrets it every day, but he will stand by his decision to abandon the Vanguard because he doesnât see himself as worth anything to anyone. at this point literally itâs only Hex and Prometheus that are keeping him alive because he genuinely stands for nothing other than staying neutral in the numerous wars that he sees the Guardians as waging. Basically, donât bring the Tower or the Vanguard up anywhere near him.

I know I was telling you to leave this guy be, Ghost muttered in Skylerâs ear. But heâs practically asking for it now.
The Titan couldnât agree more; Laurenâs final oath was what pushed him over the edge.
âAt least I actually stand for something!â he roared, the words molten hot on his tongue. âUnlike you, you disgraceful outcast! Now BACK OFF!â
Light solidified over Skylerâs arm as he backhanded the rogue Hunter with one swift motion. That would teach him to think twice before invading a Titanâs personal space.
The volume of the Titanâs voice isnât what catches him off guard, itâs the wall of solid light that is sent straight at his face. Maybe he should have kept his distance after all. Not that he could fix it now as heâs not even given a chance to avoid the blow - the light makes contact harshly, sending Laurens sprawling on the ground behind him.Â
Maybe he should have seen that coming. Though the feeling was almost good to the Hunter - itâd been a while since heâd felt the light of another that forcefully. He almost enjoyed it. There was something between being touch starved and craving physical contact and needing someone to physically beat that contact into you. Perhaps this was what he needed. Though he knew he damn well deserved it.Â
âYouâve gotten soft - living up in that Tower must have made you weak.â Leaving the Tower hadnât been an easy choice. He had a fireteam, friends - even those he considered family. But Laurens couldnât let himself be played like that any more - there was no way he was going to let that happen. He did stand for something - though nothing that this Titan would understand by the sounds of it. Iceâs voice rings in his ears, but Laurens ignores her in favour of pushing himself to his feet - the blood trickling down his chin but an after thought as Arc dances around his fists. If he didnât know any better, heâd throw himself straight at this guy and aim for the throat. Though the presence of Void light only put a dampener on those plans, instead Laurensâ hand grips the hilt of his sword - waiting for the Titan to make the next move.

It was probably a good thing that Laurens had stumbled on the Hunterâs camp. The temperatures at this time of year tended to drop well below freezing - not exactly something that was fun to deal with when you were on your own with nothing but your Ghost and a few weapons. He didnât even have Solar light to offer any comfort against the biting cold.Â
He hadnât expected anything like this to come from it, but the offer of blankets and a fire to sit by were too tempting for the Nomad as he curls up against a fallen tree as a back rest - only to tense up and jerk his head to the side at the sensation of a smaller body pressing against his own.Â
Eyebrows furrow down at the top of Ilaâs head as she rests it against his shoulder, the warmth of her Solar light more than welcome in contrast to the light from the campfire before the pair of them. Laurensâ muscles only remain tense for so long however, the warmth now surrounding him is more than enough to relax him. One of his own arms eventually finds Ilaâs shoulders, a hand gently rubbing against her upper arm - an attempt at showing his gratitude for her sharing the night with him, though heâs not sure how well itâs likely to be received.Â
@another-life-rp continued from here
Laurens has to stop himself laughing harshly at the Titans words, the corners of his mouth curling upwards ever so slightly. Heâs the brat is he? Thatâs an interesting way of looking at it if heâd ever seen one. The Hunterâs fists tighten at his sides at Skylerâs words - sharpened teeth practically bared at the taller of the two as he fights with himself for control over his actions. He didnât need a fight. Thatâs the last thing he needs right now. But.Â
Damn him if this Titan didnât need the sense knocked into him some way or another.Â
âI used to be a Guardian, idiot! I know exactly what you self righteous people do with your lives!â His voice is tight, ignoring the whispers from Ice in his ear that he should leave it. He was see the light rolling off of this Titan in waves, yet all Laurens could do was eye it up as a weakness - such a lack of discipline with your light leads to nothing but trouble. He can feel the Arc prickling just underneath his skin, but so far nothing had made a physical appearance between the two - though it was becoming more and more of an attractive idea to throw everything he physically had at this Titan. Heâs sure heâd be able to handle it.Â
âYou think I got kicked out? You think the Vanguard would abandon another solider from their little inventory? How naive you are - understandable coming from a Titan, really, but how disappointing. I left. I abandoned the Tower and everything you fucks stand for - Iâm done being thrown about like a commodity!â Eyebrows are furrowed as Laurens takes a step forward to the Titan, as if egging the taller on - wanting some kind of contact between the two of them If they were already this riled then who knows what kind of reaction that kind of reveal would have? Laurens was betting on something violent. âYou got a response for that, Titan? Or was that your one rehearsed line for if you had to defend your honour standing behind walls your whole life?â
Send đ to snuggle up to my muse without explanation
a hug for laurens, because he needs them as much as he deserves them.
The hug isnât exactly unwanted, but Laurens tenses against the smaller body all the same. His eyes widen as Ilaâs head rests against his shoulder, his mind racing to figure out exactly what would have caused the sign of affection from this Hunter.Â
Though Laurens finds himself soon relaxing into the more than comfortable contact, the heat from the Gunslinger radiating between them as they stand there - his body relaxing against hers from that alone. Eventually, the Hunterâs hands find Ilaâs own shoulders in order to wrap his arms around her, the contact quickly becoming something he was more than appreciating.
[ enough ] (From Skyler. I read in one of your posts that Laurens hated the City, so maybe he says something bad about it or its people? and even though Sky isnât a big fan either he wants to shut him down?)

"You pieces of shit are the reason I left that god forsaken place! You claim to be the saviours of the universe but you canât fucking save your own damn race.â Sharpened teeth are bared at the titan as Laurens pushes his face up against the tallerâs own, a snarl visible on his face as he all but growls out his words. Robotic limbs tremble with the pressure as hands form fists at the Hunterâs sides - it takes everything he has to not grip the sword at his hip out of pure rage. âYouâre all so obsessed with your wars on species you donât even understand that you canât see the people dying at your fucking feet! I left because none of you would listen to me and I was tired of being used like a toy soldi--â
âEnough! Shut up!â
The explosion from the titan causes Laurens to flinch, taking a step back as he looks up at the titan practically bristling with rage that he could feel the light radiating off of him in waves. Though the words do nothing to stop the Hunter as his jaw clenches against his next words despite the ringing of Ice in his ears to just drop it. âAnd how are you gonna make me, Guardian?â

If anything, all Laurens had to be glad of was that the group of Guardians whoâd turned on the nomad hadnât chosen to use their abilities with the light or any of their weapons in general. Sure, fists did almost as much damage, but at least it was less of an insult to his being than being shot from a distance and left to bleed out. Instead heâd been beaten half to death and left to choke on his pride.Â
A fitting end as far as he cared.

âIf bouncing a mile is what it takes to teach you a lesson, then I can live with being the source of your misfortune,â humor in his voice despite his dead-set expression.
Squeezing the hand within his own bare servo, he hoisted the man up, standing upright and acting as a pillar of support to the more meager weight of the two. He could have easily levered him up without any help at all, to be frank, but some didnât take kindly to charity. Halden had already sent him flying, no need to man-handle the stranger and more than that.
When he was sure that Laurens was steady on his feet, he let go, dropping his hand to his side where it found a home on his hip.
âNothing interesting I can guarantee you,â an answer, loose and open ended as he was pried at. âSometimes you just need to⊠Get away. Iâd think youâd know that feeling yourself, considering- Youâre all the way out here too.â No no, Halden wasnât alone here. It felt a bit ironic, really, hearing words like that out of the wanderer who tried to jump down at him in the first place.
âAny reason thereâs not many mechs out here? Youâre not bait are you? Getting mauled by scrappers isnât quite something Iâm in the mood for today.â
Exos were... Difficult to read - at least for someone lacking any and all forms of social interaction for a year up until now. Though Laurens was sure he was getting this Titanâs meaning for what it actually was. His eyes narrowing at Haldenâs next words. He wasnât about to explain to this guy why he was this far from the nearest form of civilisation - though he should have probably expected a comment about his own location after having asked about this Exoâs.
âOh, I can assure you, why Iâm out here is more than just me.â And thatâs all there is to it, the Hunter rolling his shoulders as he watches Haldenâs features. His... Abandonment of the Tower is a sensitive topic at best - the hatred he held for the Vanguard and the ranks below them only part of the driving factor that lead the Hunter to a solitary life in the Wilds. After all, there were only so many places that a Guardian could go after abandoning the very people who seek to own his type.Â
âGet a lot of humans and Awoken out here, never really seen an Exo this far away from the Tower though - always a time for something new though huh?â His voice is smooth, Laurens doing a good job at hiding his prejudice against Guardians beneath a layer of speech. Though he snorts at the next question. Laurens pulls off one of his gauntlets - his own robotic digits threading through his hair as if to show his reasoning to the Exo. âIf scrappers were out here, I can promise you I wouldnât be.â

Chi was on night patrol again. Mostly assassinations or simple in and out style missions. Not many guardians were out at this time of night, and if she saw any they would be wearing a helmet.
She noticed the hand over his side arm, and she kept a strong grip on her handcannon. She didnât want to fight, though she was prepared to if worst came to worst. The other guardian saluted. Chi tilted her head to the side a bit before saluting back, though she was still unsure about this unknown guardian. They felt off to her. She had the same feelings when she was hunting. A small pit in the center of her spark. All that was missing was the sudden rush to come. Chi tapped her fingers against the handcannon, creating a gentle tapping with the salvaged claws from her old set of sealed ahamkaraâs grasps.
[[Try something with more flair next time - you might just scare someone off.]]
Laurens grits his teeth at the ghostâs voice in the back of his head, sharpened canines showing as he straightens up - releasing his grip on his sidearm. At least they hadnât started shooting yet - that was always a positive. A pointed tongue darts out to wet chapped lips as Laurens muses on how heâs meant to manage this situation.Â
He knew this was a Guardian - more likely than not from the Tower. While he tries his best to avoid the kinds like the Guardian staring him down from across the square. Itâs been weeks since he talked to someone other than Ice - and she has a certain... Charm that makes talking to her less than enjoyable. Clenching his jaw, Laurens lifts his hand to make it obvious heâs not planning an attack - getting shot here of all places would put a dampener on his plans of wandering all night before he passes out in the roots of a tree or face down in a puddle again.
Send đ for an air kiss. Except, reversed, Elwood is blowing u a smooch at a distance with a wink for good measure
kisses pls â accepting (this boi always needs kisses)
If heâd known this place would be so heavily populated, Laurens wouldnât have come here. Walking face first into an Exo would be the first reason heâd later regret the decision to turn up here - the second? It wouldnât even be the fact that the pair of them end up tangled in the dust with Laurens on top of the complete stranger - flailing to get off of the hard body beneath him. That would be the shade of blue that his skin turns the second he makes eye contact with said Exo. The pair finally manage to separate themselves and Laurens is half way through a rushed apology before Ice decides to speak up.
[[Youâre a mess.]]
The voice in the back of his head only causes Laurens to loose track of the Exo before him as his eyes track to the corner of his vision and back - only to watch sight of Elwood throwing him a wink and blowing him a kiss. The rush of heat to his face is more than enough of a sign as to how flustered Laurens ends up at the sight of the Exo turning his back on the Hunter still sat on the ground staring with slightly parted lips.
