Just a reminder in case your mind is playing tricks on you today: You matter. You’re important. You’re loved & your presence on this earth makes a difference whether you see it or not

If Barbie was an actual woman, she would be 5’9” tall, have a 39” bust, an 18” waist, 33” hips and a size 3 shoe.
• Barbie calls this a “full figure” and likes her weight at 110 lbs.
• At 5’9” tall and weighing 110 lbs, Barbie would have a BMI of 16.24 and fit the weight criteria for anorexia. She likely would not menstruate.
• If Barbie was a real woman, she’d have to walk on all fours due to her proportions.
• Slumber Party Barbie was introduced in 1965 and came with a bathroom scale permanently set at 110 lbs with a book entitled “How to Lose Weight” with directions inside stating simply “Don’t eat.”
i’m always reblogging this.
I’ve reblogged this a million times and will ALWAYS reblog it. She is so beautiful…It’s a great message.
I always reblog this when I see it on my dash.
You cant just NOT reblog this
I know that this is the internet, and we’re all anonymous and all that, but really. It doesn’t hurt to try to be nice.

DON'T BE A BYSTANDER
even if you think you are unqualified or someone else has taken action already, there is never a justifiable excuse to stand by during acts of bias, violence, self harm or suicidal ideologies.
at least, take enough action to just get help, notify someone who can help.
Mary and I talked about the harrassment, which I’ve been pretty much just blocking out of my mind all week as usual. She helped me process it. Which led to a discussion on self-worth/my low self-esteem.
She told me a story about how one morning she was jogging and it was really nasty and wet...

In 2 days, I will be a month cut free.
One of my biggest accomplishments ever :)
AWESOME! :D you are an inspiration to others -Nomoreharm
Just keep eating.
It's not your job to save someone's life if they are considering suicide. It is your job to find a way to help them save their own life.
It is as simple as listening, acknowledging their thoughts, and connect them to someone who is trained to give them support. Be sensitive, compasionate, calm, nonjudgmental, patient You do not need to fill the silences with advice, you do not need to know the perfect answers
Time for a new challenge!!
So about a year ago I challenged my followers to draw a giraffe (my spin on the butterfly project) instead of cutting and to submit a photo that I would post on my blog! This time, I officially challenge you all to draw a lion. I am excited to see your interpretations! :D -Nomoreharm
Feel like its impossible to address your eating disorder or addictions right now because you are too stressed?
As a psychology and neuroscience student, I can assure you that it may in fact be intensifying your anxiety, depression, and overall health problems. Addressing it now may be part of the solution for your overall health that can decrease mental health symptoms you thought were uncontrollable. Talk to a psychologist or psychiatrist if you can, or reach out to free education programs in your community.
Too afraid to ask if someone is considering suicide because it might make them consider it?
Research indicates that human beings aren't that susceptible. By asking, there is no evidence that you will "plant the seed" and cause problems in the future. In fact you might save their life in the short term. No excuse to miss, dismiss, or avoid the signs.
Think your self harm or disorder is too taboo to talk about it? WRONG!
Just because some topics are difficult to talk about to a stranger or in a big group, there is always someone who would be willing to talk to you individually. Is it easier for you to share with someone who has gone through the same thing? Look online for a county or state support line or groups who will be the strongest support system. It's never too late and always worth trying again.
