Sorry for the silence here lately! No meme inspiration, only… anxiety…
But here are a few resources I’ve been looking at lately! There’s no procrastination better than the procrastination that can actually help you get a better eye for design.
https://www.design-seeds.com/ - Design Seeds. A collection of colour palettes drawn from photographs. Real good for inspiration or to help you figure out good colour combinations.
https://www.canva.com/templates/ - Canva. Templates to help you make stylish logos, banners, posters, business cards, etc. It has a Pro version, but I find the free assets to be more than enough. It can also help you understand what makes a striking logo/banner, and gives you dimensions to make sure your twitter/tumblr/insta posts don’t get grainy.
https://www.pixelsurplus.com/ - Pixel Surplus. Ignoring the paid font bundles, if you’re a broke artist or on a tight budget, they have some excellent freebies - fonts, photoshop brushes, textures, graphics, etc. Their blog posts are also pretty useful when it comes to advice.
https://unsplash.com/ - Unsplash. Some great free-to-use photography to use for reference or inspiration. A lot more diverse and varied than some other stock sites I’ve seen.
https://www.nappy.co/ - Nappy. Stock photography featuring entirely Black and brown models.
https://www.fontfabric.com/free-fonts/ - Font Fabric. Stylish, free fonts.
https://inspofinds.com/ - Inspofinds. A curated showcase of projects, designs and editorials to help inspire you.
