There's been more earthquakes in Petrinja since. The strongest had a magnitude of 4.8. According to EMSC there's been 42 earthquakes felt in Croatia in the last 51 hours (as of 30th december, 8:33 am)

Changes in this part of the brain were previously used to previously used to argue that women are the ideal primary caretakers of children in all cases. And apparently, it’s false. The reason they found these changes in women was that women were already the primary caretaker in almost all cases, not because there’s something inherent to women that makes them better parents.

Honestly to all of the adults refusing to wear masks and saying it’s not a big deal: fuck you. Your ruining my school life and my social life as a teen. Don’t forget although there is a lot of ignorance among older generations, corporations are forcing us to work during a pandemic and our government has done almost nothing to prevent this from happening. If there’s any rage to be had point towards those that have the power to make us fight amongst ourselves.

Here’s another pill: companies and ad teams know that your 20s are extremely stressful and they purposely target you because they don’t care about making us all alcoholics as much as they care about profiting off of us.

cooler pill that I’d wish I’d known about when I was younger: if you’re struggling with alcohol, AA isn’t your only option. AA can be a bit dogmatic and sometimes hostile to certain communities, especially the LGBT.

there’s a group called SMART Recovery that has free meetings just like AA, but it’s all science-based and secular.

and here’s the thing for college students: unlike with AA, it’s okay if your goal is moderation and not abstinence. no one is going to make you feel like a bad guy for being young and just wanting help getting healthier, but perhaps not wanting to commit to being totally abstinent. google SMART Recovery, guys. they’re awesome. :)

Just be careful to avoid these groups. The Church of Scientology loves to use substance abuse support groups as a front.

You don’t have to be a person dealing with addiction to find support from any of the legit groups, either. As someone who has had family who struggled with various types of addiction, but who never struggled myself, I still went to Narcotics Anonymous meetings and was offered support. (There are specific meetings for friends/family. Ask the organizers about them.)
