This very loosely uses the tsukkiyama week day 2 prompt "Why are you so surprised? Yamaguchi practiced serving more than anyone else." !! Ive had this idea in my notes for THE longest time and i finally got to draw it!!

This whole thing comes from my headcanon(?) that yamaguchi didnt tell tsukki about practicing the jump serve. I dont remember it being in the anime but in the manga, tsukki seems surprised that yamaguchi is pinch serving and i interpreted that as him just not being in the know at all. Theres also a chapter in a light novel when yamaguchi gets help from takinoue and tsukki doesnt know how or when he got so close with the alumni. I think the match was the first time tsukki even realized what was going on, but they just never talked about it afterwards... until this small moment that ive drawn out ☺️☺️

Haikyuu x ghibli 🌱🌱 my full piece for the hq ghibli zine, inspired by "my neighbors the yamadas" which i absolutely love!! Its such a good, fun movie, i totally recommend it if you haven't seen it before!!!
