This entire family of extinct birds. They’re giant. Yes, that is a giraffe. Just to show how big they could be. Nature killed them before we could see them, so we wouldn’t have self expired from heart attacks.

Birds are the Dinosaurs that a meteor the size of Everest hitting the earth at Mach Jesus couldn’t destroy. As a concept, birds are cursed.

Everyone forgets about the fireshield earrings!

Probably a stretch to say they'd canonically prevent at least mild pain in a campfire, but they absolutely do extinguish Sky/Link any time he catches fire in his game. Which is more often than you'd think >u< (for the purposes of the comic this is a completely pain-free prank for Sky lol)

Aftermath of This Comic

Hoo boy y'all really liked the fireshield earring comic, that thing's gone past 2k notes, I'm flattered! 

Here's what I imagine happened after the prank, as originally written in a reply to a comment:

Sky would roll himself out of the fire before anyone tried any unnecessary heroics and actually got hurt trying to save him. And when his earrings activate and everyone just stares at his unharmed body in shock? He absolutely looses it. Full on deep-to-wheezy laugh until he's gasping for breath, and while some of the others want to scold him for scaring them like that, they just can't stay mad at him and can't help but laugh along. Wild gets several great pictures but is also assigned first watch with Sky as "punishment" when the Chain finds out he was involved. Of course, Sky's been laughing so hard that he can't help but drop into a deep sleep after a few minutes, leaving Wild to do first watch alone. Wild lets it slide. He has funny pictures to keep him up ^u^

Also thank you to the Anon Ask yesterday that said the Sky and Wild prank duo tracks! I wasn't completely comfortable posting the ask as it had an abbreviated swear but I'm so thankful that you liked the fire shenanigans, haha!

whats new with forged connections? (for the wip game)

New? Platonic cuddling that Purah and Zelda interpret as romantic cuddling. Wild spirals (positive) slightly at the prospect of being with Twilight.

WIP wise? Making a horrifying monstrosity to be the most terrifying thing found so far.

What would be your game plan for a zombie apocalypse? 🤔

Old plans included holing up in old brick buildings which can be barricaded easily with melee weapons and stocks of non-perishables.

This was back in the late 2010s tho, and uh. Yeah those kinda plans probably would not work so hot, actually?

Plan now would be to uh, not have a zombie apocalypse, I think. Lame non-answer, but it’s similar to surviving a nuclear war. I don’t think I would want to?? For reason other than that I’m in the blast zone of a probable target (car factory down the road), radiation poisoning is nasty.

Wanting to just take a vacation for like a month, read whatever, write my fic.

Forgot my meds for a few days and took them out of whack so now I feel Blegh. Don’t wanna do class or work when that’s definitely not an option to just not do those things.

The deuteranomaly and protanomaly ones are very similar but they are different. The purple section ranges out a little farther to the right in the protanomaly one. Not seeing the difference between might not indicate color blindness but rather difficulty with color differentiation.

22 March - Ever Given Eve. Many celebrate by completing some small task they’ve been putting off, symbolically clearing blockages in their own lives.

Poppy Playtime’s premise is so perfect to explore the dehumanisation and infantilism that disabled /traumatised people experience and how we don’t fit into “normal” adulthood due to factors outside our control

And it enrages me Mob stumbled upon that by pure fucking accident. Isaac backtracking his statement on the toys’ age is proof they never intended to touch on those topics, they just added tortured orphans for spooky tragedy points

Mob had a goldmine called Poppy Playtime the character, the character the game is named after, and yet they not only FUMBLED HER COMPLETELY and just refuse to give her screentime or any meaningful game mechanic tied to her (did you know she was supposed to be the main mechanic? The player would be able to throw her so she could catch objects, and retrieve her via that little line some toys have where if you pull it plays a sound or a melody! Then they replaced her with the grabpack) and now half the fandom is just LOVING to hate on her because "she betrayed the player" and "exploded Safe Haven". Like.

I think the Prototype calls her childish not because of a perceived age, but rather her idealism. She’s very idealistic in the way many of us can connect with. She doesn’t want to hurt anyone, stop the prototype from hurting anyone else, and leave the factory.

He calls her childish because her idealism is very child-coded, in a way that a kid wouldn’t want to hurt anyone, stop the bad guy, and leave the horrible place. So he calls her childish because she either doesn’t care or isn’t considering the implications of being able to leave. She even agreed that he was right in one of the tapes after the HoJ.

But really she’s just in not any position to do anything. Her body is tiny and weak, she is perhaps one of the smartest toys besides the Prototype himself, but her physical restriction makes her vulnerable in the factory. She could feasibly leave and live pretending to be a doll. Well. Could have.

Poppy is severely underutilized and under characterized explicitly. But I think we can characterize her well enough with what little we have. Sawyer has a complicated past and history to unravel so him needing more makes sense. We don’t have as much on the prototype because that’s part of the mystery. We still have almost nothing on poppy besides her being the first, and we aren’t entirely certain if she predates the prototype. He’s almost certainly the first bigger body. But they didn’t start with the bigger bodies.

So it’ll be cool to see where we go in chapter 6.

Okay now on to insanity and endless postulation, my second favorite pastime.

Now that Caine is purged, probably dead for good, unless there was a backup, the gang needs to figure out how they’re able to use the powers Caine used to make and hold everything together.

It makes me wonder if they’ll be able to find another interface now that the one Kinger was using fell into the void. Kinger getting so much in episode 8 was really cool, and the theory that Kinger is more sane in the dark is confirmed. Even if it took awhile for him to wake up.

Also can I just say Caine’s Crashout Form is really freaking cool?? Like the six enlarged arms on bigger body is a super cool and terrifying look. Little bit of the “cosmic entity” look like an angel or smth.

Also Bubble being probably a virus couldn’t be more obvious with his corruption and manipulation of Caine, not to mention the repeated duplications. I wonder how much time Caine actually spent deleting instances of Bubble, and if bubble is gone now that Caine is gone.

Caine just enjoying tormenting them even when it brought him no satisfaction is very AM coded, and I think we’ve know “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream” has a massive influence on TADC, and we see that from the parallel dialogue almost verbatim saying the title. But mostly when Caine makes his initial display to show off how powerless they really are, and how he can simply control them. That is extremely AM. Like it’s such an overt display that he can control even how they move, which is a degree that AM may have been capable of, but we didn’t see.

So it’ll be interesting to see what happens now.
