@nopeitsoak
when I’m trying to figure out what foreign object my cat is eating
pour one out for radar, the first person ever to perform the distinct act of “routinely saving PowerPoints to pdf for your higher-up manager” but in 1950s Korea 30 years before PowerPoints were invented
Insane “your sister, the sister” energy
just remembered trappers crooked grin fuuuuuuu
I’m soooo normal about that soft little MASH priest (lying!!!)
Pratt: If I ask the colonel to see the major's file and they're cosubversives, they'll pull the old dossier switch-a-roo, and I'll chalk up a zilch.
Hawkeye: Boy I wish you came with English subtitles.
Trapper: He means he's gonna break into Frank's file tonight. Right?
Pratt: It's called breaking and entering.
Hawkeye: It's a good thing you're a cop. Otherwise, that's illegal.
RIP hawkeye you would’ve loved the acab movement
season 2 episode 21: crisis
Father, you have to tell Radar to take the glasses off while sleeping next time. Leading by example is not enough apparently.
something I love about mash and why it continues to be such a comfort show is that Everytime I turn on an episode it really feels like I’m peering into their world to see my little friends. It feels real even when you can hear the echo of the studio lot and see the continuity errors and none of the timeline writing makes any sense. And I know it’s partly because its premise is based in history but they also really put some love into the world building. I can’t tell you if Hawkeye has a sibling or if he’s an only child or if his mom is alive or not because the show itself didn’t know but I can confidently say I probably know exactly what I would find if I opened Henry’s desk drawer or BJ’s footlocker. And that makes me so happy
Father mulcahy kind of the character of all time. He’s a priest. He boxes. He’s cute as a button. He’s in with the black market. He’s in with the black market to get goods for orphans. He regularly fleeces his unit playing poker. For the orphans. His sister the Sister plays basketball. He tends bar so people will confess to him. He got drunk to preach about temperance. He says jocularity. Southern Baptist services are too forceful for him. He’s threatened violence on multiple occasions. Lesbians want him
muffled screaming
Anyone else ever think about the fact that every single Sunday, Father Mulcahy has to wake up, dress in his robes, gather up his holy oddities, go to the mess tent, move things around so that they vaguely resemble a church setting, hold at least two services (one for Catholics and then a second for Protestants), services where 0- maybe 5 or 6 people show up, then clean up and put it all back as he found it, collect his holy oddities, put those safely back in his tent, and be raring to go for breakfast that is now happening in that same makeshift church space???
Because I just did at 2am and it feels somehow so very important
mash was absolutely wild to not only establish that hawkeye and bj verbally swap immersive saucy fantasies but somehow also make it hunnihawk coded
Just found out there are other television shows made after 1983 about doctors and hospitals. Fucked up. Can’t imagine that would be true. You’re not mash. You’ll never be mash.
I love the theory that Sidney was only intending to visit the 4077th that first time but as soon as he met everyone he was like “I have GOT to study these freak people like bugs more often” he’s just like me fr
