How Monika's Lackluster Leadership Makes the Lit Club Thrive!
Sayori's the nicest gal in town, but she'd probably forget to show up to her own funeral if it wasn't on her calendar. Responsibility ain't her strong suit, folks!
Yuri's got a brain full of literary trivia that'd make even the stuffiest professor green with envy. Too bad she clams up tighter than a drum at the first sign of human interaction. Shy girl problems, amirite, but she is my wife tho.
Natsuki's not afraid to tell it like it is, which is great... until she steamrolls over everyone else's feelings like a bulldozer on a rampage. She is the Erica Sinclair of the group.
But Monika? Oh, Monika.
She's like the world's most adorable Swiss Army Knife - a little bit of everything, but not necessarily the best at any single thing. Sayori's got her beat in the feels department, Yuri thinks too much and feels too deeply, and Natsuki's got her trumped in the boldness arena.
But hear me out: That's exactly why Monika's the perfect prez! She's got just enough of each quality to keep the Titanic afloat without capsizing. It's like she's the glue that holds the dysfunctional family that is the Lit Club together.
So here's to you, Monika - the jack of all trades, master of none, and the most perfectly imperfect club president the world has ever seen! May your reign of mediocrity continue to bless us all with its wonderful weirdness!

It's definitely not just me but ddlc's MC is so fine😭
But I KNOW he won't look at me if I'm in ddlc because he'll be too busy cozying up with the more significant girlies and even more busy with sayori
So you'll probably be forced watching him interacting with other people better than you. Even talking to him is sad because he'll only give you a few generic words in and nothing else interesting to your conversation so he might not write a poem with me in mind.
When everything started falling apart however, he started to look at you, look for you because you're the only one with sense of normality because sayori is emotionally unavailable. While yes you're happy, you're also empty. He's just using you because his first option wasn't available. But you'll give him your warmth because what better things you have to do? Nothing. Because none of this is real.
Monika might be the first to see the world but it doesn't take you any longer. You still love him but when you two are just empty husks but you don't even matter, you don't care anymore.
When the world is destroyed, the only thing he will see last isn't Monika's face, but yours. He'll reach out but you will step back, leaving him shocked. You turn your back towards him for the first time ever and all he can do is watch you walk away into nothingness and the screen has turned black. Restarting the game.
Monika is gone but you remained. Unfair but you're not the puppeteer, you can't do anything. At least you still have your memories. Now that life has restarted, sayori is now the president instead and brought him back into the club.
He fits back in perfectly, chatting up with everyone else once more until he reaches you. Smiling like he did before but you only turned away, not noticing how he went still.
The girls are appalled at your behaviour but they don't know what you've been through. They've been through worse but that doesn't give them the unintentional right to throw your problems aside.
Maybe you'll only forever be know as the other choice. Nothing more to him.
