pro prison leftists are so funny to me because i'll say something like "perhaps it is inhumane to send people to knife island where they must compete in the knife games" and someone will respond, thinking they've destroyed my argument, "I get not sending drug users to knife island, but are you really proposing we don't send (whispers) ...pedophiles to knife island? what else would you have us do with them?"
We don't think basic human rights includes the freedom to repeatedly violate other people's basic human rights. That's the part of human rights we don't get.* Now, can you answer the goddamn question please? *agree with, technically speaking but that's not the biggest problem here.
The Holodomor, 1932-1933, Ukraine, caused (intentionally or not) by the forced collectivization of agriculture, a communist practice. Death tolls estimated to be around 4 million, and that was only in Ukraine. The whole USSR was affected by the famine.
And this is not the only example of mass deaths due to communist policies.
So yes. Communism literally killed millions.
Next time you make a sarcastic post like in the screenshot, make sure it’s an exaggeration
It’s funny because in the 1921 famine in Russia over 5 million actually did die because of grain requisitioning.
I like how they misused the “shuffles deck” meme to strawman, and still ended up self-owning.
We study the effects of large-scale humanitarian aid using novel data from the American Relief Administration's (ARA) intervention during th
An interesting thing about that famine is America ended up coming to the aid with grain shipments. It saved millions of lives, although also saved the soviets from collapse.
Its worth pointing out, because communists love to bring up the extremely limited allied intervention in Russia during wwi (not even aimed at crushing the bolsheviks).
@unionizeurmom @reading-writing-revolution
Irish potato famine 1 million people killed. ~12-15% of Ireland’s population. For profit.
Bengal famine 2-3 million died. ~5% of the population. Under complete control of the British. Under British colonial policy (capitalism abroad).
2 million died just crossing the ocean from Africa to here. 20-30 (some say as high as 60) million died from the whole slave trade in Africa. For profit.
Holodomor was less than 3% of USSR population. The famines stopped, almost immediately. Then they went on to compete with the US in the space race IN THE SAME GENERATION lol none of these other places had a whiplash back into success like the Soviets, and there were actively making mistakes. Imagine. Lol
As I’ve said, capitalism doesn’t prevent tragedy or suffering. I understand that capitalism isn’t perfect while you keep insisting that your brand of communism that you want to force on everyone is all gum drops and unicorns and nothing bad will ever happen ever if we just get the right people put into to place. Sounds familiar lol. Sounds like all these retard voters every election cycle
No, I’m saying my brand of socialism isn’t even that crazy and you want to cry about the fucking holodomor. I want the second bill of rights level of socialism, not communism. But if people are gonna tell you the communist manifesto is evil, you definitely have to read it and determine if you think it is evil.
It’s like you’re fighting against someone trying to give you the shirt off their back. Like okay bro. Not once have I advocated for authoritarianism or totalitarianism. You think that’s all socialism can be.
Blah blah blah that’s what they all say “iT WiLl WoRk ThiS TiMe GuYs!!!! Just do exactly as I say or else!” Keep dreaming boot licker
😂😂😂
>Irish potato famine 1 million people killed. ~12-15% of Ireland’s population. For profit.
Ah, yes, the classic tankie NO U.
>Bengal famine 2-3 million died. ~5% of the population. Under complete control of the British. Under British colonial policy (capitalism abroad).
>blames government policy
>>which is somehow the fault of capitalism (private trade)
Huh?
Wikipedia says the government “created the "forced transferences of purchasing power” to the military from ordinary people, reducing their food consumption.
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce (composed mainly of British-owned firms), with the approval of the Government of Bengal, devised a Foodstuffs Scheme to provide preferential distribution of goods and services to workers in high-priority roles such as armed forces, war industries, civil servants and other “priority classes”, to prevent them from leaving their positions.“
It was literally the government taking more power and goods for itself.
>2 million died just crossing the ocean from Africa to here. 20-30 (some say as high as 60) million died from the whole slave trade in Africa. For profit.
"Capitalism is when profit.”
Also, you know what was the primary source of African slaves? War. By Africans. You know, that thing generally done by governments.
Often wars specifically to capture slaves. (EG Dahomey.)
Also, many slave operations were government-backed monopolies.
>Holodomor was less than 3% of USSR population. The famines stopped, almost immediately.
The estimates of the German population killed in the Holocaust are less than 1%. You are using percentages to desperately make 1 in 33 people dying seem smaller.
And failing.
>But if people are gonna tell you the communist manifesto is evil, you definitely have to read it and determine if you think it is evil.
And then there’s the vague gesturing at some book you want your opposition to read, in lieu of an actual counterargument.
>It’s like you’re fighting against someone trying to give you the shirt off their back.
And the ol’ “no, socialism/communism is just free stuff, look at how selfless we are”.
OP was still stupid and wrong, no matter how much you try to change hte subject.
No, I’m saying my brand of socialism isn’t even that crazy and you want to cry about the fucking holodomor.

Stuff like this, theres hope for ai yet. 🤣
whenever i post stupid shit that gets a lot of notes on here that i regret i take comfort in knowing that theres no real repercussions from that because this website is going to be tanked and shutdown within, at the most, 3 years

Fantasy worlds always have large, beautiful moons, sometimes a few of them in pretty colours. We should have more fantasy worlds that have like 112 piece of crap tiny lumpy moons that are horrible and pointless.
They have a whole astrology system based on their awful moons and eclipses are bullshit because it just looks like a piece of gravel being tossed past a light.
112 peice of crap moons
Rings. That’s what rings are. All the planets with a fuck ton of shitass moons have rings. You’re just making the night sky cooler.
I bet they look like shit from underneath
There's some physicist from Idaho that did a series of what different locations on Earth would look like if Earth had Saturn's rings. Article was saying that depending on your latitude, the rings could appear as a straight line overhead, or a sort of rainbow arch higher up. Fun idea to toy with.
I think the same guy has a series of 'what if the other planets replaced the Moon', too. Saturn looked cool as hell but we had a total eclipse like every five minutes.
Very informative show!
Note though, over doubling the current spending spree they are on that is completely unsustainable and full of fraud.
That isn’t even revenue, they aren’t making anywhere near what they are spending.
They literally cannot possibly even extract as much as they spend. It cannot be more than doubled.
We really need to end blank check spending, it’s already destroying the US as a country.
