Hi. It's been a while.

Life still has me in it's iron-clad grasp, and I've been struggling with the next few chapters of my fic (along with my... ridiculous overplanning for it, not gonna lie (don't ask about it)).

But enough about me...

UA University: a recap of everything new after... what would happen in the bout between All for One and All Might? That was the newest thing tagged (life has been... something, and so, I've haven't had the time to check...) and it involved All Might getting some of the Top Ranked Heroes (which also includes Star and Stripe, as well) into the mix, iirc.

And uh, if it hadn't been asked before, how does the newest (and should be the last, istg...) Movie (You're Next) fit into the timeline of UA University? If it also isn't Midoriya's problem like Nine and Flect Turn, in the moment the Gollini Family becomes a prevalent threat?

You haven't really missed much; ignoring the single most recent ask for it, we just hit the two year anniversary for the last ask.

The main thing you're missing is that high-school Yanagi found Toga on the streets, swooned, and took her home.

The Gollini Family are interesting because they're one of the few things that would wait. Valdo's whole thing only really started because All Might retired, which means that unlike every other major player, he wouldn't show up in this AU until, well, three years after he would've in canon--making him a problem that Midoriya does have to get involved with.

Had the feeling that Valdo and his Mafia Family would actually wait for their moment to strike in this AU, but felt the need for a second opinion, just in case it feels like jumping the gun, just because it's a new addition...

Nothing turns me off from a fanfic than a ship with god's most shittiest character known to man.

I will die before I acknowledge this guy as anything but a bully, and he will never escape that, nor the woodchipper I intend to dispose of him with. And I will die before giving up my conclusion that everyone who likes him, have a bullying kink, or IS a bully, and will never admit it, not even when they have a gun to their noggin.

The only real reason he keeps winning popularity polls, is because Izuku is rather plain for a character, and the fact that Japan is full of people who have a bullying kink, You cannot prove otherwise, it isn't possible, and you can't change my mind anyway.

future ask game: when? jk, but how many alternate versions of MHA characters can you think of, for every character, including Izuku? It's important for my AU ask, that I sent in (two months ago iirc)

multiverse, how many alternate universes that you can think of, but just for one character, example: Fantasy AU, what is Izuku's position in his kingdom? is he a Knight? a Priest? an Adventurer? a Bandit? an Assassin? or maybe something special, like being the Heir to the King?

like that, and so the original AU would just be taking those versions, and imposing them onto the original person, letting them have the memories and skills, for a moment, a battle, or longer.

So one moment, he's fighting someone wielding a sword, he thinks to himself: "maybe I can match his sword with one of my own!" and transforms into the version of himself that knows swordplay.

I can explain it more if you want ;-;

Why the shit is everything about South Korea so fucking ass right now?

Then we had a small debacle regarding Jessica the Liberated from Arknights,

Then we got Guardian Tales, specifically Kong Studios, and the rejection of art from a feminist artist,

and now Arknights again with YOSTAR KOREA DELETING PROMOTIONAL ART FROM OUTSIDE THE GAME DUE TO FEMINISM OF THE ARTIST, FROM 2018

WHY, GOD WHY.

Kakao Games is a South Korean Publisher, so they denied the art submission, possibly due to possible references of supporting Megalia, to those unware, Megalia is a group of South Korean Misandrist Feminists, who hate the hell of men for how they were treated by them (thus, Misandrist), which sinks the reputation of a game if a game dev made references that they supported the movement, making their game look bad for their KR servers.

Due to Megalia, there were many concerns from Korean branches of game publishers about posting art and such, from artists who are possible to be supporters of the movement, so they don't take the risk.

Because the wider Global community has no idea about them, and there not being a word in English that can accurately translate to "Megalia", and thus, prompting the usage of "Feminism" instead. Which angered people, when the Official Statement from Project Moon said "Feminism" instead of "Megalia", bringing them to National News in South Korea.

So it made other publishers really scared, where Yostar KR redid Jessica Alter's art to not include the "gesture" of Megalia.

(Also, thanks for bringing this post back to me, because I needed to update it, as I've learnt about Megalia a month or two ago.)

lrb Guardian Tales having gender choices for the protagonist, but choosing to treat the female choice as the "most canon"(rare for gacha games) really made me realize the psychology behind this "self-insert man" thing that some games do.

It took me a while to realize that the most likely reason why Guardian Tales puts only the female Knight in promo, the 4koma and even in some events, is because they're avoiding the gacha fans who see male Knight as their self insert. Gacha fans see female Knight as her own character, while male Knight is supposed to be them. Thus if GT focuses more on the female Knight, they're avoiding people getting pissed off when Knight isnt acting like they fantasize they would.

Whats funny is that this is pretty clear when you look at some part of the fandom; male Knight is treated by the average gacha player as this harem chad. Meanwhile the female Knight is often more varied in her personality and relationship with other characters (...Gacha fans are also more willing to admit defeat when she loses a fight, instead of malding for eternity about it)

This applies to pretty much every gacha game, even when the MC's gender is unknown, like Arknight's Doctor. If the Doc is a guy, they're literally me. if Doc is a girl, then she's mostly treated as her own character.
