Decided to make a short list of blogs that I follow that seem to be really active. I know there are endless paranormal blogs out there, and if you want to share, or promote one, let me know and I’ll give it a shout out.

1. sixpenceee : Posts paranormal, space, science, scary stories, strangeness, and all around randomness. Quite a popular blog. dozens of posts a day

2. cryptid-wendigo: Posts mostly about cryptids, and seems to get a lot of fan mail/reblogs/questions/general love from fans. several posts a day (is also doing a free giveaway right now!!)

3. Contactee Confessions: Purely alien, UFO blog. Blogs about sightings, abductions, declassified files, and eye witness accounts. Several posts a day.

4. Spookymrsboo: posts different creepy.spooky pics and gifs. Posts at least once a day.

5. The Paranormal Guide: posts different stories with sources about paranormal occurrences and haunting, as well as spooky stories. Usually long read, but fun all the same. Posts every few days.

The Royal Ghost Ship

In 1878, the HMS Eurydice sank in a blizzard off the coast of the Isle of Wight, in England. Only two of 366 men survived. It was a terrible tragedy, and it set the stage for one of England’s most enduring hauntings.

The same afternoon, a dining guest of the Bishop of Ripon was said to have had a vision of the sinking boat. After that, a ghostly ship began appearing more and more frequently off the Isle of Wight. In the 1930s, a submarine supposedly had to take evasive action when the vessel appeared from nowhere, only to vanish again without a trace.

But the most impressive sighting so far comes courtesy of Prince Edward. In 1998, the royal was making a TV series on the island. As he and the crew watched, a schooner appeared out of nowhere. It approached the Eurydice’s watery grave and then vanished. The Prince claimed to see it clearly, but no ships were said to be in the area at the time

The Dartmoor Hell Hounds

Dartmoor is everything creepy you imagine about the English countryside. A gigantic wasteland of windswept rock, this fog-shrouded landscape is said to be home to all sorts of terrifying spirits. The most terrifying of which may well be the Yeth Hounds.

Great black, demon-eyed dogs that hunt in packs, the Yeth Hounds are meant to be the half-mad souls of unborn children, doomed to haunt the moors. Supposedly you can see them at night, hunting people foolish enough to venture outside after dark. A central part of the horror is the sound they’re said to make during these hunts—an inhuman scream that cuts through the air and drives those who hear it mad with fear. Their name is even thought to be a corruption of “yelling,” though we prefer the more accurate “screaming monster beasts.”

The legend goes that if the Yeth Hounds catch you, they’ll drag you off to “faraway lands.” We’re not sure exactly what that means, but we’re betting it’s nowhere nice.

The Dunstable Hitchhiker

In October 1979, Roy Fulton left his local pub and accidentally wandered into a horror story. Driving home that night, he allegedly stopped to give a lift to a random hitchhiker, somewhere on the cold and lonely roads outside Dunstable.

The guy got into his car without a word and the two sped off into the night. After a few minutes of sitting in silence, Fulton awkwardly tried to make small talk. When that failed, he lit a cigarette and turned around to offer his passenger one. The guy was gone.

At no point had Fulton slowed down. At no point had the hitchhiker had any chance to leap from the vehicle. And yet there was no one there. Fulton’s story may match many other tales of ghostly hitchhikers, but it was so convincing that the national papers covered it. In the years since, the story has resurfaced across the UK in various forms, but never in such a simple and chilling way as the Dunstable tale.

UFO Fleet Spotted Over Texas?

On the night of August 25th, 2015, a man by the name of Raul Callejo captured this video of a bizarre fleet of glowing orange orbs hovering in the skies above El Paso, Texas. 

Many viewers are not convinced that these lights were of extraterrestrial origin. Most believe the lights were simply military flares. Others, however, believe the video could in fact show otherworldly aircraft.

Personally, I’m not sure what to make of these lights. If the video had been longer, perhaps it would’ve been easier to determine just what exactly they were.

What do you think? Does this footage show actual alien aircraft? Or might these lights simply have been military flares?

The Screaming Skull Of Bettiscombe Manor

In the 19th century, John Frederick Pinney returned home to Bettiscombe Manor from a West Indies trip with a slave in tow. Upon arrival, the enslaved man promptly expired, with a warning that he wouldn’t rest properly until his body was returned home. Being your standard slave-owning jerk, Pinney refused the request.

According to the story, no sooner had the deceased man been buried than villagers began to hear screams coming from the nearby cemetery. They were the sort of screams a madman might make after witnessing something beyond human imagination. In a panic, Pinney is said to have exhumed the corpse and hid it in his attic. Then things really got bad.

As the body decayed, Pinney found himself in possession of a skull that brought hideous misfortune, but would scream with unholy fury if he tried to remove it from the house. In the end he had no choice but to keep it, and now it watches over his descendants, just daring them to throw it out.

Sasquatch Caught Peeking Through a Window.

This video, which was captured in August 2015, shows a dark figure believed to be a Sasquatch peeking through someone’s window. The person who captured the video explains that every year, the fruit growing on their apple and pear trees mysterious vanishes over night. Not only that, but the birdseed feeder would also disappear as well.

Wanting to get to the bottom on the mystery, the homeowner decided to set up a camera by the window in hopes of catching the annual thief in action. Thinking the culprit was something along the lines of a Raccoon, the homeowner would later be shocked when they discovered just what had been captured on film.

A dark, hair creature could be seen peeking through the homeowner’s window. The creature can be seen looking around the room, almost as if it’s making sure nobody is around. The creature eventually walks away from the window, never to be seen again.

Some people believe the footage is genuine, and even hail it as one of the best Bigfoot videos captured to date. Others are skeptical, believing the figure to be a person in a costume.

Personally, I have to agree that this looks a lot like a person in a costume. The fact that the creature has no discernible facial features other than it’s eyes is a bit strange. That being said, I’m only going off of my gut feeling, and in no way can I definitively prove this was indeed a costumed person.

I’m interested to hear your thoughts on this footage. Do you think this homeowner captured video of an actual Sasquatch? Or was the creature simply a person dressed in a costume?

Ghost in a Bedroom

This footage shows a humanoid-like entity attempting to crawl into the bed of this woman. The uploader writes “My friend had been hearing noises in her bedroom at night for weeks so she set up a camera, and the footage she got is unexplainable.” (Full Video)

Poltergeist Activity Recorded at the Bassa Villa Pub?

CCTV cameras at a Shropshire pub captured what looks to be actual poltergeist activity. Nick Bevon, owner of the Bassa Villa pub in Bridgenorth, came into work one morning to find numerous glasses shattered across the floor. Curious, he went to check the security footage and discovered this bizarre video of and invisible force knocking glasses off of the shelf.

“I just turned up for work on Saturday (August 15th, 2015) and opened up as usual with the assistant manager when I noticed the smashed glasses on the floor.” Nick said when speaking with the Mirror. “I thought ‘How did that happen?’ because I knew the place would have been left tidy the night before. I wondered had someone maybe been in the bar so I reviewed the CCTV cameras and there it was a 1:43 a.m.”

“There was no-one in sight. The place was empty. And they just fall without explanation. Both of the glasses just go. I checked out cameras from different angles to see if I could find a reason for it but they all showed the same thing.”

It’ been speculated that the activity was caused by the spirits of two young children who died in the basement hundreds of years ago. Legends states that while their mother was out, the children went down into the basement to play. There they became trapped when the basement began to flood. 

This isn’t the first time something unexplainable has occurred at the pub. Nick claims that he’s felt something grab his wrist on multiple occasions throughout the past few years.

While the footage is quite intriguing, many are not convinced this is the work of a spirit(s). One popular theory suggests that the glasses could’ve been knocked off of the shelf by the vibrations from an air conditioning unit. Personally, I’m not quite sure if that theory is the answer to this mystery. While it’s certainly one worth considering, I can’t help but think this video could indeed show something supernatural.

I’m interested to hear your thoughts on this video. Does it show actual poltergeist activity? Or is there a more conventional explanation for this strange incident?

If you get a chance to visit, its amazing. Been here several times, and enjoy it immensely. I will say its not as fun walking back up. Also as dusk they have shows that let you see the bats emerge from the caves. First time I went a sparrow pooped on my pants.
