Thirteen finally looks up from the map, furrowing their brows at their twin. Their features were just as sharp and crudely cut as they always were whereas, even though they were ‘identical’, Spencer always seemed to look more childish and round in the face. They don’t miss how their sibling almost calls that wretched lab home. “Do I miss being a prisoner? An experiment? No.” Though after a moment they sigh and decide to give Spencer just a little. “I do find myself often thinking of the orderliness of my room at the facility, though I know it’s a waste of time and will get us nowhere.”
Spencer had to give a small smile at Thirteen. Maybe they were a little human, after all. “It doesn’t have to be helpful to be good for you, you know.” It was Thirteen’s weird way of missing things, they supposed. “I don’t miss everything, but I mean... it was nice not having to worry all the time like we are now, you know?” Spencer kind of wished they could get their twin to open up just a little, but maybe it just wasn’t time yet. Or maybe this was as emotional as they could get. Who knew.
