People don’t expect too much from literature. They just want to know they’re not alone with being confused.

Your transphobia free edit has arrived! (kudos to sookies-world for the suggestion.) Now back to our regularly scheduled conversation: cultural appropriation, or when Black women are taunted, derided, and threatened because of their features, while white women are celebrated for them.
And for the record, there is nothing wrong with muscular women, Serena, Ronda, or otherwise. The point is that one athlete is constantly policed for her body, while the other has seen a constant wave of adulation for hers.
How to be a piece of shit
1. Sexist 2. Racist 3. Homophobic 4. Anti-Feminist
Number 4 is a bit off
Feminism is equality
Stealing the fast food example. Fast food is equality. McDonald’s is feminism. I can like fast food and not like McDonald’s. I can believe in equality and not be a feminist.
Limits I used to tell myself I couldn’t wear a dress like this because I was a boy. I got over it… eventually. I used to tell myself I couldn’t wear a dress like this because I didn’t have boobs, or my shoulders were to wide, or my hips were not big enough… I got over it… eventually. I used to tell myself I couldn’t wear a dress like this out in public because it would make other people uncomfortable. I got over that… eventually. I am not saying that limits are wrong, but ask yourself… Are you limiting yourself in ways that do not allow you to be freely open and expressive of who you are? If so, then ask yourself… is it worth it? Xoxo -Elliott Alexzander
what i, as a feminist, am against
FREE BLEEDING : because it is unsanitary. there is a reason that products that ‘collect’ the menstruation are called sanitary products! if you want to free bleed around YOUR OWN HOME, okay, but not around other people, especially if they are against it.
THE IDEA THAT FEMALES ARE BETTER : the point of feminism to begin with was to bring women up to the equal status of men because to begin with men were considered better. don’t turn it around the other way! it defeats the whole friggin purpose. men and women are equal, don’t change that.
UNEQUAL CRIME PUNISHMENTS : if women and men are to be equal, the punishments for crime have to be too. thats fine! rape is rape no matter the gender, for example. murder too. drugs. everything. “oh women aren’t as strong anyway it wouldn’t have been as bad” is not an excuse! men and women have the same brain capability, and so they both (usually) know that it is a crime and need to face the consequences.
Masculinity is not toxic.
Equating things like rape, murder, assault, and violence with masculinity is helping no one. Claiming that toxic “hyper” masculinity is responsible for the atrocities that do take place in the first world is disgusting. It’s insulting to men who are masculine. It erases victims of female violence, abuse, sexual assault and rape.
Masculinity is not the problem. It is not the problem. The problem is sick individuals who are manipulative, who are sociopaths, or who (for whatever reason) don’t know right from wrong.
Men are not the enemy. Women are not the enemy. Masculinity is not the enemy. Femininity is not the enemy.
No solid evidence supports the assertion that any of these atrocities are a gendered issue. They are an individual issue.
I was abused and assaulted by a woman. Many people are raped by women. Many people are murdered by women. That does not mean that femininity is toxic.
It works both ways.
Everybody has gone through something that has changed them in a way they can never go back to the person they once were.

Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit. Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.

Hey tumblr!
I’m not a conservative by any means, but I think that tumblr needs to go back to some traditional values. I’m not talking about going to back to women not societally allowed to wear pants, I’m talking about basic things like:
Be nice to people.
Getting good grades is a good thing!
You’re not a cat hidden in a human body.
Going outside is good for you.
Being reclusive is not good for you.
Not everything is offensive!
Don’t use WebMD to diagnose yourself.
Being healthy is a good thing!
Needing trigger warnings for tiny things is a bad sign.
Not everyone will share your beliefs- embrace it!
Your life shouldn’t revolve around tumblr.
-Smoking is bad for you and doesnt look cool I don’t care what john green says
-having a mental illness is not a trend and is not fun
-being a little scared to ask a shopkeeper for something is not anxiety you little shits
-being upset sometimes is not depression you little shits
-school actually matters so try your best don’t give up on your grades just because someone on tumblr tells you they dont count
-having a happy and functional family and/or life does not mean you’re not allowed to be sad sometimes
-getting drunk to forget your problems is not a good habit
-cutting yourself is not beautiful or poetic
-you are not a special snowflake
Be grateful for what you have. If you want more, work for it. If you don’t like something, change it. Stop stressing and complaining.

Someone could be walking around naked with a sign that says ‘free sex’ and you still have to ask for consent. There are no excuses for rape. The fact that we even have to state things like these in this day and age is disgusting. And shows you how small minded and ignorant humans really are.
yall must watch this ! ! !
This video actually made me tear up. I can’t believe how people can be so unhuman and comment such things. It’s horrible. So many girls have problems with confidence because of acne and for people to say that its gross and “Does she ever wash her face?” is so fucked up because it has nothing to do with hygiene. Where is humanity?
Some people wear makeup. What is wrong with that? Some people don’t wear makeup. What is wrong with that?
People can do whatever the fuck they want because guess what…it’s THEIR FACE NOT YOURS. So, I’m really tired of seeing people commenting about other person’s appearance when they have nothing to do with it. LEAVE THEM ALONE.
