the first time ochako discovered her quirk was when she was playing outside and her grandma was watching her. when they went to go inside, ochako touched her granny’s hand and she began to float. ochako, of course, did not realize that it was her quirk, and instead thought her granny was being sent to another place way up in the sky.

when ochako’s granny began to scream, ochako’s mother ran out to see what was going on, only to find her mother in the air. as she screamed, ochako began to feel ill, and started throwing up all over the place.

this, of course, prompted her father to run outside as well, only to find his wife, his mother-in-law, and daughter screaming (in between intervals of puking out her guts).

it was indeed a very stressful day for the uraraka household.
