A part of Burnâs character that I found interesting that I donât really see people talk about is that she genuinely seems to care and/or love her mother.
Like- not just because Oasis brings her strange dead animals, but because Burn genuinely feels and/or has a bond towards her mother.
Burn likely saw that her mother is alright with her interest in odd-looking animals, (something that other dragons feel weird, uncomfortable and/or disgusted about).
When Burn saw her motherâs dead body in the Winglet Deserter, she ran to her motherâs body, quivered with rage at her death and breathed heavily.
Then Burn buried her body and put up an obelisk with the quote she wrote that states âHere lies Queen Oasis, mother of Queen Burn. Her bones now belong to the sands of time.â
Which Thorn pointed out was a pretty poetic quote for a dragon like Burn to create.
Also, when Scarlet mentioned that it only took one scavenger to kill Burnâs mother after Burn criticized Scarletâs use of scavenger on the SkyWing arena, Burn whipped towards Scarlet and had her stinger arched towards Scarlet. This indicates that Burn was pissed that Scarlet insulted her motherâs death.
IDK, I just think that a character like Burn is a brutal, cruel, war-indulging, racist and ableist dragon who displays dragons who are born disabled and/or âodd-lookingâ inside her stronghold,
who doesnât care about others - including her brothers - to the point that sheâd brutally injure or kill others if someone gets in her way,
Actually and genuinely cares about someone in a way that otherâs wouldnât think let alone expect her to do.
