My most recent project! I have a group chat of friends I’ve collected from moving all over and every once in a while we do a challenge. One time it was a thrift challenge and build and outfit for one person, another was PowerPoint night. Well this challenge was an art project with spring as the theme and I choose to go with the spring equinox as my inspiration! Day and night are equal on the spring equinox which is why I went with that design. The original artwork is from Pinterest and I took inspiration from that while making this final piece! It’s not great but not too bad considering I’m a beginner. I’m proud of it either way!

My mind wanders too much when I can’t sleep. I don’t know how my mind or heart doesn’t give up after remembering all of the shitty things that have happened to me and all of the shitty things I’ve done to people. Wonderful late night thoughts. Nobody is perfect and everyone sucks. Anyways happy St Patrick’s Day!

Trader Joe’s has the best flowers

The last couple days, my dreams have been in the same location- a trail with 2 paths that split. My goal is every dream is to take the cleared path, with intact dirt road, pretty trees with Spanish moss, and lots of flowers. But every time I try and find that one, I always end up on the dilapidated path. Full of potholes that seem to be 20 feet deep, road just crumbling, overgrown trees and bushes, invasive species, and lots of mosquitoes. I don’t get frustrated when I come across the wrong path. There’s no giving up or getting lost trying to find the intended path. I just deal with the problems and the people that I run into because even though it’s the harder path, it’s become familiar to me. I know where not to step as the road crumbles. I know who to ask for directions and who to avoid as would just purposely point me in the wrong way. At this point, I’m just tired I can never get to the cleared, maintained, calm path the first time.

Dreaming has always been an *experience* for me. Every night I have extremely vivid dreams (sometimes nightmares) and when I wake up in the middle of the night, it’s hard to remember that I’m part of a different reality outside of my head. Sometimes I need to get up and walk around to ground myself. I need to start writing down what I remember from sleep. Depending on the type of dream, they are usually based out of one of my childhood homes (I moved around a lot), an empty mall/maze, the hidden leaf (dreams here are fun) or a castle of some kind. I wonder which place I’ll visit tonight.
