Update š
Hey, so I know I haven't posted in 15 years because life has been super crazy lately! So here's a little update: H is now 25 days on T! I've given him two shots and it's so scary but exciting! I'm really excited to see his changes. We are living together in our own apartment and we are really just kicking ass at life! He's working hard, trying to save money so he can have top surgery in the future. So that's just a little update on our lives ššš

what she means: asexuality is so hard to deal with in modern society because sex is such a big part of our lives and relationships that it's unfathomable to most people that a relationship or marriage could survive without sex therefore making it so incredibly difficult for asexuals who still desire romantic relationships to find someone who's either okay with having a romantic relationship without sex or who is asexual like them because many asexuals are so ashamed of being "weird" or "messed up" because of their lack of desire for sex that they end up being in sexual relationships anyways and never identifying as asexual so they never know that there are people out there like them and nobody wins and everyone is unhappy
hi, im a pre- T transgender male. this is really hard to ask but im out of pads and its almost shark week and im too embarrassed to ask for some, what do i do?
A few ideas come to mind that may or may not be accessible to you depending on your circumstances:- Order free samples online. If you have an address you can receive packages at then this is a fantastic way to stock up on hygiene products for free. A few companies that offer this are Poise, Playtex, TENA, Kotex, Always Discreet, O.B., Lunapads (this one is reusable), Carefree, and Assurance. If you feel comfortable talking to any of your friends about this then you can also sign up for the free samples using their address(es) and double, triple, etc. the amount of samples you get.- Contact local LGBT groups/centers/clinics. If you happen to have LGBT organizations or groups in your area, including community or college groups, they may have hygiene products to give out. If they donāt have any products themselves then they can most likely get you in contact with someone who does. If you live near a college you can also check to see if they have (excuse the name) a Womenās Resource Center since theyāre often open to the public.- Ask a family member or friend for help. I know itās uncomfortable, I know how embarrassing and dysphoria-inducing it is, but the temporary embarrassment of asking for help is much easier to handle than not having those hygiene products.If you canāt bring yourself to ask for help face-to-face then you might find it easier to text, email, or write the friend/family member a note. You could even frame it by saying that youāre embarrassed about having to ask for this, that you donāt want to talk about it in person, but youāre out of pads and need new ones very soon, that way the person understands not to press the subject. If youāre in school you can also do this with a school nurse or health teacher.
If you need personal hygiene products, please message me and I would be more than happy to buy some and mail them to you if that is a route you would like to take.

Itās official: North Carolina is getting sued for the passage of HB2, the law that bans LGBT nondiscrimination protections and forces transgender people to use the wrong bathrooms.
Lambda Legal, the ACLU, the ACLU of North Carolina, and Equality North Carolina filed a lawsuit challenging HB2 on behalf of three individual plaintiffs and two advocacy groups (the ACLU of NC and Equality NC).Ā
The lawsuit argues that the new law denies LGBT people equal protection rights under the Fourteenth Amendment because the new law was designed to single LGBT people out for discrimination and less protection.
āH.B. 2 was motivated by an intent to treat LGBT people differently, and worse, than other people, including by stripping them of the protections afforded by the City of Charlotteās Ordinance and precluding any local government from taking action to protect LGBT people against discrimination,ā the lawsuit alleges. Weekend
Well, my parents have come and gone once again. This time was actually pretty good! I took them exploring Virginia and we had Easter dinner all together (Including H) at Outback Steakhouse and then my mom, H, and I went swimming! It was a lot of fun. I was really sad to see them leave. My old age has made me a softy so I cried a little. But now it's back to the real world of college and a messy dorm room. Wish me luck.

H had his 4th appointment today and his therapist said he only has four more appointments and then he will get put onto a waiting list for T! This is super exciting and I am so happy for him! He is making his dream come true! ā¤ļø

Questionable Therapist?
Food for thought. My boyfriend had his third gender therapy session today. At his last session, his therapist told him that she (also a trans woman) would get him the paperwork to legally change his name. But she didn't. She also proceeded to tell him that he isn't actually transgender because transgender is just an umbrella term and he is actually transsexual. She ALSO said "I know it's hard to be born with this birth defect where your brain doesn't match your body." Now. I am a cisgender woman. But I really am uncomfortable with her saying that they were born with a birth defect. He doesn't view being transgender as a birth defect and neither do I or a lot of trans people. It was just very upsetting. I understand she is a therapist, but how could you say something like that to your client? what if that is a trigger? Like. What? Idk. That's my rant for today.
