I just had a follow up ask, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get your cards printed? like how do you go about getting them printed? I've asked people before but they've always told me the used a small print shop so I was never able to figure out how to print my own I dont have any shops in my area :p

I've wanted to make my own tarot deck but I didn't know where or how to start :3 thank you and I hope you have a good day!

thank you for the interest in our project!! we’re finishing up ordering everything and should get to sending everything out pretty soon, so we’ll be selling extras after all orders are sent out!

but hoo boy this will probably get long, but i hope it’ll be of some help! i will say one definite thing that’s probably the most important; have everything–and i mean everything–planned out before you start a zine/tarot project. the bnha tarot project has changed quite a few hands over the past year, so we had to start from scratch pretty much while in the middle of the project, so knowing exactly what your plan is is super important before you start recruiting people.

before you announce the zine/project, nail down your topic and make sure it’s clear enough so people aren’t left wondering what exactly the topic is, because there are plenty of zines/projects out there that don’t really have a clear cut theme, it’s just an idea that everyone vaguely bases their pieces off that don’t really connect with each other.

after you have that start looking into websites where you can order your zine/tarot through. knowing beforehand is super helpful, especially if you ask around with other projects to see where they got theirs done, otherwise you’re pretty much just basing the quality of your products on descriptions and that’s a pretty big gamble! also decide whether you want merch or not, and look into places for creating those too.

my biggest piece of advice though is to have fun with your project and don’t get overwhelmed! being the head of a zine/tarot project can be pretty stressful at times if you let it get to you, but in the end it’s meant to be a fun project for you and all your artists, and everyone who wants to purchase what you’re making! :)
