It baffles me how some people cant condemn the authoritarian regime in Cuba. OVER 60 YEARS of people suffering under it. Explain to me why you cant do it. Does it shatter your romanticism of communism? Well sorry that MY PEOPLE dying in the streets from starvation, police brutality, and disease messes with your political discourse.

WHY THE F*** IS CUBA'S SUFFERING A DIVISIVE POLITICAL ISSUE?! THIS SHOULDNT BE HARD!

Have the US blockades done damage to Cuba? Yes.

Should the blockades be ended? Yes

Will ending those Blockades result in the end the horrible atrocities commited on MY PEOPLE?! Not for one second! Because IT isnt the reason why its happening. This has been happening for so much longer than people realize.

Cuba has been suffering for so long and ALL opposition has been BEATEN down, disappeared and silenced. Now the regime is weakening, Cubans are rising up. Cuba wants to be free of this regime. Any cuban that has FLED from Cuba, that lived in cuba, they know the true horrors there.

It breaks my heart to see people and groups that claim to fight against authoritarianism, that fight against police brutality, that fight injustice can simply say "Its the embargo's fault" and cant condemn the actions of the FUCKED UP AUTHORITARIAN REGIME.

Please listen to Cuban voices! They are being silenced and killed and I as a Cuban am growing tired of explaining this situation over and over to people who pretend to care about this issue but who are not willing to challenge their fantasies of what Cuba was or is. It. Is. A. Dictatorship.
