         THE PARTY IS ALREADY IN FULL SWING when Astoria enters the double doors, having spent all her time in the garden, watching a family of very curious and very disgruntled garden gnomes. All around her, people are milling about and conversing with enthusiasm, generous laughter mingling with the music and the clink of expensive cutlery. It isn’t a scene unfamiliar to the youngest Greengrass, but she can’t bring herself to be entirely comfortable in this company either. At the very least, she can see Pansy and Daphne having a good time from where she stands, and the sight of them makes her smile.

          Movement diverts her gaze to another corner of the room, and she’s met with another welcome sight. Astoria deftly makes her way to Roman, flitting across the sea of people, smiling at every curious glance she catches with her dark, glittering eyes. She beams at him when she reaches him, and noticing the undone top button of his shirt, goes to fix it with slender fingers, smoothing his collar as soon as she was finished. “There,” Astoria says, stepping back and inspecting her handiwork. Content, she moves to stand beside him, her smaller frame visibly dwarfed by his taller one. “Any reason why you’re standing here instead of,” she gestures vaguely before them, at the mass of people socializing with each other. “— joining the fun?”

         ANYTIME SOMEONE SAYS there is nothing to be worried about, especially when it’s one of her sisters, Tanya takes it as her cue to worry in earnest. Golden eyes appraise the woman before her with a dubious expression and she proceeds to rest her chin on the pad of her upturned palm.

         “So if I asked you what you’re thinking, would you tell me?” She inquires with no small amount of curiosity, careful but prodding — because no matter how Kate would prefer her to feel, she is concerned and she has every right to be. “If it’s truly nothing to worry over, you’d humor me, won’t you?”

since i officially added emma duval as a test muse ( she will be a regular muse once i finished rewatching the show ) i’m sort of thinking about??? her recovery after the events of season 2. i want to write emma post-show and i want to explore how she lived her life after experiencing so much trauma. i ( vaguely ) remember emma signing up for university during the final episode of s2, but i think because of mental health problems ( mainly PSTD / paranoia / depression ) she drops out in the middle of the school year and just... doesn’t go back to school for two years. she goes to therapy to get better and she takes her time to process what happened to her and to her friends. i just... i don’t think it’s realistic to say that she just went on with her life after so much violent death in her past. i also want to say that after she’s sort of regained her footing ( not completely, but enough to feel capable of going back into the swing of “normal” things ) she enrolls back at lakewood university and studies psychology, in a bid to understand more of herself and others. down the line, i want to say she writes a book??? not for publication but just... to process her memories / her nightmares, bits and pieces that come back to her and that she needs an outlet for.

also, i want to apologize to people whose messages were ever ignored by me or took me ages to reply to. i have no excuses, i’m just shit at communicating and a lot of time get stuck in my own head, postpone replying and then either forget about it or think that it is too late to reply. i’m sorry if i’ve ever made someone feel bad bc of this - honestly, it’s never personal, it’s just me and my inner problems. i will try harder to work on it. thank you for ever initiating conversations with me ♥
