Some of the tags are saying ‘I don’t know what this references’ so I’ll pass on some photos that Amebaby shared with me! This is more of an Instagram/Facebook drama, I think.

Basically, a guy (Dinkydinomite) went on eBay and listed his Rapunzel pony for sale, with some ridiculous flavor text about how his ‘11 year old child found it and declared it will pay for her Stanford education’ and now he’s selling this as her investment. He also makes ridiculous claims like there’s only 100 known Rapunzels in the world. The downside? The pony looks pretty rough, and he’s asking for ten thousand dollars.

So the pony people get kinda upset, they’re like ‘wtf the MIP one only sold for $3,000 you’re crazy dude’ SO HE UPS IT TO 20k AND STARTS MAKING POSTS ABOUT HOW RUDE THE MLP COMMUNITY IS.

He also includes such highlights as “I CONTROL THE #MLP MARKET” on his Instagram. Because that’s normal behavior! Here’s the eBay listing:

So in response, people are posting the “I control the #MLP market” meme (which I now realize should say ‘maket’ ha), and pictures of their own Rapunzels, to show that there’s more than 100 out there. I did find some weirdness in the Rapunzel tag though:
