idk. it sounds harsh. i've met lots of people who are in difficult situations who just need a small push or a single taste of a different world to just alter their mindset completely. very easy. but then i've met others who you can spend months and years trying to get into a better place and they just refuse to follow you. fight back every single step of the way. absolutely insistent on remaining unhappy. infuriating.

momo (@miyoriia) getting banned is not unexpected but it is deeply frustrating.

i will no longer be using tumblr for anything other than advertising my projects

@staff banning a trans woman for posting digital art with the slightest bit of comedic partial nudity is what you enable by using tumblr. all of us enable them to continue their flippant banning of marginalized users by continuing to scroll through their ads

the more followers you have, the more likely you are to have losers hatefollowing you in order to report anything you post that could get you banned. your first mistake is thinking you can get away with posting anything they could deem questionable. if you care about your blog and don't want to make another one, you have to play their game (also, christ, if you get banned and make a new account, don't post on the new account that you got banned from your old account, do not admit to ban evading)

i get that we don't want to censor ourselves but there is nothing revolutionary in posting scandalous content on the website tumblr. there is nobody to revolt against here. the moderation systems are surely all automated husks. they will not take any chances and they will not hear you because there is nobody listening. there is no form of protest that could matter because tumblr is a warped, sickly animal that refuses to die

this is an effectively dead platform - it is a liability to those who own and operate it. it is a ghost town and you are one of the ghosts. you stay here because your friends are here and you need to numb your brain with information and/or attention. nothing is going to change. the web is dying and money killed it
