It’s been so long since I opened tumblr that I actually forgot how to use it hehe. Anywho, not much bnha arting recently, but I did participate in the Dabi Big Bang, so here’s a preview for that! My partner was Marvollo and you can find her preview on twitter!

You’ve absolutely given me pirate AU brainrot. I demand you take responsibility!! I also know ur prompt was technically cursed pirates, and I only realized like 75% into the piece that the cursed part was [sweats] all in my head, so I made an extra little comic for it.

Dabi: looted a cursed pirate ship of dead pirates who’d turn into flames under the moonlight. Anything they burn with their fire would become a part of the curse, and while he managed to survive, he’s still afflicted with it. If he were to take a dip in the good ol’ ocean at moon ‘o clock at night the fire would go out and he’d perish smh

Rumi: I actually didn’t think of how she got cursed, but her curse is that she has to return to this crescent shaped island where her body is chilling in the water every full moon to provide it with air. If she doesn’t, then her original body will die and she won’t be able to to lift the curse ever

Hawks: Kinda got tricked into the curse because he wanted to save his shipmates. It gave him wings which allowed him to bring them to safety, but now he always has to remain loyal to a captain or else he’ll become a parrot until he can find a new one.

How they met: The three of them were all going after the same item that would allow them to dispel their curse. They all happened to meet at the same time and got into a tavern brawl with about 100% more guns, swords, and kicking, but during the scuffle they ended up losing the item to the ocean. They switched to arguing verbally and harassing each other until they unintentionally became a crew due to circumstances (prolly escaping authorities DJFKJDHFK). Since then they became plunderbrats and go around doing pirate things while trying to break their curses!

Kazuma was not a hero.

He was barely even an assistant. He didn’t graduate from a hero school, didn’t have a hero license, didn’t have an offensive quirk. By all accounts, he should have faded into obscurity, just another office worker in a sea of office workers. Yet Bishamon had taken him in. She saw worth in him and gave him a place at her side. She showed him that his quirk was not useless.

Even as young as she was, with as many sidekicks as she had, even though Kazuma was inexperienced, she still helped Kazuma be more than he thought he ever could be. She still believed he could be valuable to her.

But he was not a hero.

So why had it fallen on him to save her?

Why was he making his way down grimy back alleys, following rumors and overheard whispers he’d picked up from sidekicks at the agency?

Why was he looking for a villain to save the strongest hero he knew?

“What’s a rich boy like you doing in a place like this?”

Kazuma froze in his tracks. A chill dripped down his spine. A few paces away, the main street was bustling with activity. Late night shoppers and salarymen on their way home from the bars flowed under the safe, bright lights of the city. Nobody spared a thought to the narrow alley Kazuma had found himself in.

Light spilled out of an open door further down the alley, casting harsh shadows around scattered trash cans. The wires crisscrossing overhead were like a web, pulling Kazuma further into a spider’s grasp.
