I know she's gonna get shit for this bc she gets shit for everything and people are going to say it's staged, but I appreciate it. It feels honest and real to me, especially knowing that a lot of young fundie Christian moms are a part of her audience.

There is definitely a "grin and bear it" mom culture in the fundie Christian universe, so for that reason I have to commend her for (what I consider) her honesty.

I knew something was wrong….I knew something always was. But I just couldn’t put my finger on it until now.

I'm not sure this is particularly fair, if you're referring to the charges brought against Jana. She definitely made a serious mistake, but ultimately it was just a mistake (and fortunately no harm came of it).

Stephen and Jana never worked out because she felt too much pressure to be sister-mom and now we know aunt-mom to the M’s. She’s been so brainwashed to believe that’s her purpose in life as the eldest daughter. What we saw was the complete burnout from that. We all know the only chance any of the Duggar kids is thanks to Jana.

Correction to previous asks I have answered - Tiffany's masters degree is from Grand Canyon University! This is a private Christian university, but recently they have been amping up their recruiting at local high schools to try to get more incoming freshmen in their dorms. While their TV ads have the slogan "private, Christian, affordable," they tend to downplay the "Christian" aspect when recruiting at local public high schools. My students who go there have said that chapel is not required and there's not really an "honor code" like BYU. I'm not saying it's not problematic (their graduation rate is low and they only recently became not for profit), but it is not quite in the same vein as Liberty University in terms of... Intensity.

It would have been a remote degree because the physical location of GCU is in Phoenix, Arizona. This may be obvious to some people, but for those unfamiliar with United States geography the Grand Canyon is in Arizona. The university is 3-4 hours away from the landmark it is named after.

Out of curiosity, how do yo pronounce "mimammie" when you read it in your head? I always read it as "MEE-muh-MEE" for some reason but I'm wondering how other people say it lol

So I tend to read things too fast and totally misread the word to be "Miami-me" until reading this question haha I'm interested in how other people have been thinking of it, too!
