Big fan of Mel bringing up Becca while they plan their karaoke date and Santos immediately telling her to bring her along and trying to figure out if she'd be able to be designated driver for them for so many reasons.

I love the implication that not only was Santos planning to get shit faced, she was also planning to get Mel shit faced too. Because the best way to get her to forget about her deposition for a while is to get her to completely forget about everything for a while.

And there’s also something so sweet about Mel telling her she only really hangs out with Becca in her free time and Santos just tells her that she should come too. Earlier in the season, she knows to ask about Becca when Mel’s upset, she knows how much she means to Mel. So having her immediately extend the invitation feels like an acknowledgement of that and like she’s trying to reassure Mel. Like a subtle "if it makes you feel better she can definitely tag along". It’s just such a small little thing, but it’s so sweet.

It also makes me really wanna see what a Santos, Mel, and Becca night out looks like. I just know in my heart that Santos and Becca would hit it off. They’d definitely end up gossiping about Mel’s love life (or lack of one), and I think Becca would really appreciate Santos’s puns.

To me both seasons of the Pitt so far have been about Santos having the worst shift a person can possibly have and when her tank is empty and her walls of sacasm have been pulverized she looks around and finds the person that desperately needs something and gives it. A roof for Whittaker. A fun night out for Mel. In one fell swoop she won the loyalty of the nicest, kindest people in the ER, and then she goes home, looks in the mirror, and thinks i am evil, i am unlovable
