Kaniz Fatema’s Cerebral Palsy Progression
Personal information and Address in detail:
• Kaniz Fatema is the elder daughter of Mohammad Younus and Arefa Begum. Mohammad Younus and his family members are Rohingya Refuse people. They have 8 members in their family. But he has no stable monthly income. Kaniz Fatema’s mother Arefa Begum is a housewife. Now Kaniz Fatema is 2.5 years old. Now she is suffering as a cerebral palsy child for a long time. After the assessment, I feel he needs an assistive device.
• When I first picked Kaniz Fatema as a Cerebral Palsy child, I’ve found following these symptoms.
Delays in reaching developmental milestones.
Seeming too stiff or too floppy (hypotonia)
Fragility and jerky movements.
Random, uncontrolled movements.
But after the last follow up her mother maintained doing regular exercise according to the Physiotherapist's advice and when our respected organization has given an assistive device she feels better and now her all symptoms are progressively improving.
a) I’ve trained a variety of therapies that play an important role in treating cerebral palsy:
· Muscle training and exercises can help your child’s strength
· Motor development and mobility exercise
Speech and language therapy.
On 30th September,21 we were given a Cerebral palsy special chair.
It works by activating the nerves and causing the muscles to move, training the muscles to function better over time.
During Handover Assistive Device
c) Side by side I’ve suggesting her some food to improve her condition:
Eggs. Eggs are a great source of protein and choline, which make them a staple in the diets of children with cerebral palsy.
Avocados and Nut Butters.
Olive Oil and Leafy Greens
Past (Starting point) situation briefing: When and Why?
• On June 14th, 2021, I went to the G-44 block with a camp -5 volunteer, and through door-to-door screening, I found Kaniz Fatema as a rickets child. First, I explain the matter to her guardian and tell him in detail what kind of problem she has and what could happen. Then I started Kaniz Fatema‘s treatment. Since then, I have been treating her continuously with Physical therapy.
After that, a few days ago I took her follow-up, where I noticed she has improved a lot from
before. I want to continue her treatment. And I’m hoping she’ll get better soon.
• The reason behind why I treat her, because of –
There is no cure for Cerebral Palsy, but a child’s quality of life can improve with: treatment that may involve physical therapy including medicine or surgery, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Assistive devices to help kids get around and communicate with others.
So, I think if she continues this treatment and maintains the nutritional advice it will cure.
