what it feels like to reread your posts about the pitt s2 from when you still wanted to trust the process :
vague posting maybe idk, I don’t give a damn at this point
hey 👋 "robby defenders/apologists" who think we don’t understand complex male characters and that we’re just performing our positions on mental health ..
if it absolutely sends you into a rage the moment someone brings up intersectionality or questions your positions, which literally boil down to saying we’re too stupid to handle characters like robby because we dare talk about sexism and racism in the writing of a show, sorry to tell you
but that’s a pretty big sign that you should really rethink yourselves. even if you’re queer, even if you struggle with your mental health too, even if you write yuri smut, even if you're leftist
if after alllll that’s been said and done, you’re still stuck on "defending robby with my whole soul" trying to prove why his female (and non‑white) colleagues are "not perfect either" and how he’s "kind of right deep down" while calling people stupid for calling out the sexist and racist biases in the show, biases that clearly weren’t intentional after all
then yes, you do have some self‑reflection to do if you want to stay consistent with your pinned posts about being "anti‑racist, pro‑women", "woke", ...
✌️
We need to laugh. Otherwise, we'd never stop crying.

Acting isn't practicing medicine, but for 'The Pitt's' Isa Briones, Supriya Ganesh and Sepideh Moafi, the challenges women of color face in
the article is really cool, and honestly it's so niiiice to hear isa, sepideh, and supriya’s perspectives ❤️🩹 especially on representation, their heritage, and what it means not to be a man in environments that are very "boys’ club"
but there are 2 parts that made me wince (i think that has more to do with the journalist) :
The Pitt’s depiction of such subjects includes unflinching attention to microaggressions and unconscious biases.
[..] Nor is the series reluctant to show the other side of the dynamic, as doctors Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) and Langdon (Patrick Ball) lash out against their colleagues in lieu of acknowledging their own flaws.
dumb, but… it’s just not true. we saw that it wasn’t actually something the show dealt with. we clearly saw that these biases and those (micro?) aggressions weren’t treated as a real issue, a real critique. it never really came back to hit robby. maybe langdon, even then… but robby ? The only one who managed to shut down a conversation was dana, more or less.
the rest of the time it’s just robby snapping at his female colleagues, and nothing comes out of it. no backlash, no real criticism. just "he’s not doing well, that’s why." yeah, okay, thanks.
actually addressing it isn’t just showing that it happens. it’s showing it, dealing with it, and having it lead to some kind of self-reflection. and that’s not what happened with robby, the MC, who’s aggressive toward his colleagues. they question his emotional state, sure – because they think he might hurt himself. but his biases never get questioned.
maybe I’m nitpicking, and maybe I’m not fully catching the subtleties of english, but I really feel like it’s phrased in a way that makes it sound as if the show actually handles that issue well, like it was something they really thought about and addressed.
voila.. had to say it before enjoying the rest of the article!

wild that no one has cast shawn hatosy in a sitcom yet
the man’s face acting and micro expressions ? priceless. he’d absolutely kill it, even more in a mockumentary
yes, in case it wasn’t obvious, i LOVE mockumentaries
hyperfixating on a song
stopping listening to it for a while
playing it again thinking "nah, it won’t hit as hard anymore"
*it still hits just as hard and I hyperfixate on it all over again*
(p.1 ?)
the night crawlers x sitcom!incorrect scenes

probably only makes me laugh, but in my head with the good tone, the right editing and staging it’s hilarious, and that’s what matters
pitt girls as mermaids ✨🤍🤍
babe he's saying 5-6 years of mental health exploration of his character. somebody sedate me this guy really is on something else!!!!!!!
'-'
.. i'm sorry what ? 5-6 years ?
and they make seasons without a script to start with ? whitout samira mohan ? whitout any narrative coherence ?
*give the camera a dejected look*
It me learning this.
It's me every time i get an update since the announcement of supriya's departure
it’s already not very glorious when one of your national symbols is a little boy peeing
but worst part is : it’s tiny and stuck behind a little barrier, and I forget every time. so whenever i walk past the manneken pis and his crowed of tourists i’m just like "… 😮💨 all that for this"
god bless sesame oil
things will be great for samira mohan in 2027 when she finishes residency and finally has time for herself and figures out she's bisexual
may i add she'll figure out she’s also demi
I will say this. Yall (fandom and media critics) will literally watch shows about terrible white people like Hannibal, Succession, White Lotus etc., and find it in your heart of hearts to empathise and psychoanalyse them. But god forbid yall do the same the moment a Black or Brown character is messy, rude, unlikeable, indecisive, or dare I say, problematic, becos yall will calling for their heads.

it really is fucking pathetic that a country with more guns than people can't hit one guy
