me every single god damned moment nowadays
The Good Omens theme being performed at the Royal Albert Hall, October 18, 2019. With introduction by Neil Gaiman (and featuring David Arnold in a silly costume).
some thoughts on crowley (fallen and staying fallen)
Can I just say how much I love that Crowley isn’t redeemed at the end of Good Omens? So many stories in the world are about the prodigal son returning and to save the world and get the happy ending, they invariably have to say yes yes yes I was wrong, I have atoned, please take me back.
And Crowley doesn’t. And Good Omens didn’t. He stays cast out of Heaven (not even knocking at the door to be let in). He stays right where he is, determined in what he’s done. He asked questions once, he’s still asking a lot of questions, and he never apologizes for it. (Even further, the only time he truly comes close to telling Aziraphale no about something is when Aziraphale skirts the subject with you were an angel once. Crowley’s response of that was a very long time ago is incredibly soaked in the weight of the past and the finality of the decision. He won’t consider it. He won’t go back. That’s not an option and not only because they won’t open the gates. Heaven could cast them wide and he’d still walk away.)
He gets to stay with his choices. He gets to stay a questioner, a disobeyer, a creature of his own. We’re not fed a tale of how a troublemaker is restored and made to play nice, to fit in, to return to the majority.
Crowley stays just the way he is and gets his happy ending too.
Girls don’t want boys. Girls want to glide down ladders in their own private library while their red cloak flutters behind them, owning swords and many chocolates, with fast WiFi at all times.
i cannot stress this enough

I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

this place has a burger that’s topped with like 3 other kinds of meat and tastes like nothing but liquid smoke
guacamole is offered for $1.75
they have a sign up telling you no Wi-Fi talk to each other but they also want you to follow them on Instagram
they have a $17 burger that has “deconstructed” in its description.
All of the beverages are served in mason jars and the only straws they provide, on request, are dry pasta
Menus printed on brown paper that’s meant to look low-fi but actually costs $40 a ream
Your waiter has a man-bun and hotpants on and recommends you the low fat, low calzhigh soy veggie burger for $19.89. Fries aren’t served.
The microbrew menu is 300 pages thick and none of them are good
those ridiculously uncomfortable benches are always placed on a floor designed to make the most noise when you try to leave.
The seating is pretty terrible and it always smells like a farmers market in a recently burnt down barn.
The burger you ordered as medium will always come out well done
They don’t have a brand name soda fountain but instead carry sodas and colas made from roots and cane sugar. Their AC keeps the restaurant at a comfortable 55 degrees on a 70 degree day while the cardstock menu proudly boasts that they’re made from 100% recycled paper. Extra toppings can cost up to $5 depending on what you get.
The food you order to go comes in a brown paper bag
Restaurant tables are made of recycled wood. The aesthetic of the building is black, silver, brown, and red. Food eaten in is served in loose, small wax paper bags instead of plates. Prices on the menu do not show currency iconography beside them.

aziraphale’s knowledge of emojis is low key as extensive as michael sheen’s, while crowley is just as clueless as david tennant and that’s the tea

Stopping you getting into trouble.
I support this comic, if you dont want children everyone else can shut up and keep their opinions to themselves. I want children, but that doesnt mean I am going to force you to have them too.
I think we need to hear kind things more often. I think they should drip off the tongue freely. kindness is not a finite resource. I think all of us understand the importance of saying “I love you”, but we should also be more free with hugs. With smiles, With saying “I’m proud of you,” or “you did a good job.” Thank you. I’m grateful for everything you do. I am blessed to have you in my life. These are not things we should be saving to say at funerals. We should be saying it while people are still here. Let people know you care about them. Smile. Be kind. The world isn’t always kind, and that’s why it’s our job to change it.
I was havin a down day,, but doodled these if anyone else needs a reminder. 🌻
