my beautiful girl and her fail loser brothers
Do you have any thoughts about people blaming Aegon III for not caring about Jaehaera after he married her (or even blames him for her death). People forget he is a traumatized child too and is manipulated by grown people around him, he didn't even have time to grieve his family and now they are bashing him for not caring about the girl he was forced to married (I deadass saw a post saying he is moving on from Jaehaera and marry Daenaera too fast)
Oh I have so many thoughts on this…but no one wants to see me go into a long winded rant: so here’s my short answer
I absolutely hate this take…it’s such a dumb position layered with bias and it’s almost entirely fueled by people with a skewed interpretation of their dynamic
Whenever I see this argument it’s usually a cover for the core of their interpretation which is Aegon III and Jaehaera should’ve been a romantic pairing—imao
it’s not that they don’t remember Aegon III was also a child it’s simply they don’t care
(I’d argue they also don’t really care about Jaehaera either but that’s a whole different issue)
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I see this and I raise you that very famous edit post of “Targaryen women usurped by Targaryen men” and they put them there.
lol sorry luvs Jaehaera’s daddy made sure she had no right to the Throne. In fact, Aegon inherited the throne because he was Daemon’s son - so from the closest Targaryen male line to Aegon II.
Also let’s not even go into how Jaehaera’s issues would very very likely mean she would not be able to rule anything or have a genuine romantic relationship with Aegon.
God what a pairing from hell! Long live Daenaera!
Quick, hide baby Aegon! Grandpa Viserys has been spotted!

Lady Laena’s death was the first tragedy of 120 AC, but it would not be the last. For this was to be a year when many of the long-simmering tensions and jealousies that had plagued the Seven Kingdoms finally came to a boil, a year when many and more would have reason to wail and grieve and rend their garments…

I started drawing a bit, this is really the Rhaenyra in my head.
Although I'm not an expert 😅
“He walked to the bedchambers he shared with Aegon and closed the doors as he entered. He slid under the bed and when his brother Aegon entered, Viserys was nowhere in sight.
-Viserys? – he heard him call. – Viserys are you here?
He stayed hidden in the darkness in silence. Viserys knew Aegon would eventually find him yet if he were to speak, he was afraid he would begin to cry.”

“Let it not be forgotten: in his youth, Daemon Targaryen had been the “Prince of the City,” his face and laugh familiar to every cutpurse, whore, and gambler in Fleabottom.”
This was just an excuse to draw a pinup of my man, but let’s just say he’s frequenting his favorite brothel here 😂
Biblically accurate Daemon Targaryen, a God 😏
