What the fuck
I know y’all who are making the joke is gay but this really ain’t funny, it’s kinda fucked to up to joke about lmao
I’m really fucking pissed about this bc so many straight liberals say this same shit so I’m just gonna tell you why this is fucked up, copy pasted from another post I wrote:
First of all, the myth that “all homophobes are secretly gay!” Is a myth that straight people made so they don’t have to feel responsible for the oppression that happen to gay people and to laugh at gay people’s pain.
Second of all, even if a homophobe is “secretly gay uwu” that’s not fucking funny. He’s not a homophobe secretly gay, he’s a gay man who’s suffered and been surrounded by so much homophobia that he’s convinced himself it’s so wrong that he has to hide it and go for other gay men to be seen as acceptable. He hurts himself and gay men in process because of what society has taught him. This does not happen as often as straight people think it does and when it does, it’s not fucking funny, it’s extremely sad.
Pretty much if you laugh at gay men’s pain and can’t see why that’s wrong, you’re not progressive, you’re just a piece of shit.

Wow, can you do a post on how you life-admin?
Yes of course, here it comes!
So, I have a very bad habit of procrastinating extensively. It’s gotten better in the last year, but it’s still a problem. So to counteract that, I sit down at least once a month (usually twice) and plan everything I have to do. I also plan my day every morning. This is what I like to call life-admin.
1) Plan your weeks.
| Check your uni/college schedule and write down when you have to be where, in your calendar, your journal, your phone or whatever you use. As you can see I like to use weekly printables. On my phone I use the Edo Agenda app, which is the best calendar app I have found until now. It’s very clean and simple and I love the colour scheme.
| Since I have an exam next week, I barely have to be at uni and instead have to plan my revision. I do this by planning it loosely day by day. I always leave room for change, so if something takes more or less time than planned, it won’t destroy my whole plan.
| Make sure all bills that should be paid are actually paid. If you are on a tight budget, plan your meals properly and stick to set days of grocery shopping. I usually go grocery shopping two or three times a week. MAKE SHOPPING LISTS!!!! Don’t just go and get whatever you think you might need. But don’t forget to get some treats. Never underestimate the power of post-studying treats.
2) Plan your day.
| As my procrastination level is at a solid 180, I have to plan my day basically by the hour. I do that every morning depending on the things I had planned for that day beforehand. Studying, laundry, grocery shopping, appointments, drinks with friends, at what time I have to get ready,…whatever it is.
| Don’t forget to plan in breaks and workouts. I don’t like long workouts, instead I’d rather do one or two short ones (á 15-20 mins) a day, 4 or 5 days a week. I really like the Nike Training app for this, since they have great short workouts you can do at home without equipment.
And that’s basically it. It doesn’t take long but it makes a huge difference in my overall organization and productivity. I hope this was informative and not completely boring…
Have a great weekend everybody!
Love, Sophie ♥
resource for procrastination
if you’re anything like me, working on a computer is a dangerous thing. i’ll get distracted by everything - that one email i should respond to, all the pictures of my dog, tumblr, and so on. I recently discovered an amazing resource to stop that.
it’s called writer’s block, and is free to download!
when you open it, it shows this screen, where you can choose either a time limit or word goal
then when you start, it opens a document that fills the entire screen like this
and you cannot quit the app or open anything else until your word/time quota is filled. i just wrote half of my english speech that i’ve been putting off all morning, and it took only 20 minutes!
so yup, it’s called writer’s block and is free for both mac and windows. enjoy!
reblog to save a lazy ass
To “Victory Lap” Seniors-
Just because you didn’t graduate college in exactly 4 years or less does not mean
That you are any less intelligent than your peers that graduated in 4 years or less
That you are any less likely to succeed
That you are any less likely to graduate with honors
That you are any less likely to find your career path
That you are any less likely to go to graduate school
That you are any less likely to make a living wage and provide for yourself
That you are any less likely to get that dream job, amazing house, nice car, or any other material possession you desire
Or that you are any less likely to be valued for your contributions to your community - whether it be in the post graduation world or on your campus
Do not let ANYONE (family, friends, peers, co-workers, or staff at your university) tell you otherwise.
That is all thanks for watching
iso free textbooks?
i saw a master post a while back of a bunch of different websites and resources for free textbooks and i was wondering if anyone could direct me towards it! i thought i had it saved but i don't ): i'm a low income student and really don't have the money to be buying the books themselves !!
hey guys! it’s currently spring break for many, although most people’s spring breaks have already passed. i scheduled this post, so right now i’m on vacation in washington dc!
i travel quite a lot so here are my tips for how to study while you are traveling. keep in mind that these are for your average vacation trip, not heavy duty travel like backpacking.
this is legitimately the hardest thing in the world. if you’re not a stationery addict, you can skip this part. (although i hope you keep reading!)
condense your giant pen collection into a small bag and include only these things:
1 mechanical pencil & graphite for it
an eraser
1 black pen for writing
2-3 colored pens and 2 highlighters (in one color scheme)
if you need other supplies for a specific subject (like i would need a protractor because i have geometry) bring that too.
this probably seems self explanatory but it’s really really really important. make sure you have chunks of time set aside to do schoolwork, most likely in the evenings after you return from whatever fun activity you did that day. if you’re a morning person, try working in the early morning! i find myself to be more focused and alert right after breakfast.
if you need a planning system, perhaps bullet journaling? [my bullet journal tag] you can also use printable daily planners which can be found in my printables tag.
if you have online versions of your textbook, use those instead of lugging around a ten pound deadweight. chances are, you’re not going to use that whole thing. scan in the pages you think you’ll need, or even the whole book if you want to be extra prepared.
make sure you also have what you need on your phone.
a white noise app [ noisli | relax melodies ]
download study music [ my study playlist on spotify ]
bring earbuds or headphones !!!
bring earplugs if you need them
make sure you’ve brought your phone charger
you can easily find a general packing list on google, so i’m not going to include one. here are some specific things you may need for studying:
book light - you don’t want to drain your cell phone battery because you need its flashlight on to work in the dark
clipboard - if you’re outside or somewhere else without a flat surface to write on, this will save your work
loose leaf paper - not a notebook! too much unnecessary poundage
i would consider myself a seasoned traveler (not really, but i’ve traveled more than the average person), and here are some tips for traveling.
wear a cross body bag and keep it in front of you to prevent being pickpocketed. if you must, bring a high quality backpack. (i have a vendetta against jansports and their zippers so i don’t recommend those.)
drink lots and lots of water - overstated but so incredibly important in keeping you healthy and preventing severe jet lag
have fun at your destination! you’re out there to do what there is to do, not study all day! you can study at home.
