investigating embroidery & lace making traditions for school and doing some experimenting
starting with chickenscratch ideas (for reasons: its easy) pretty large and simple on an old gingham skort i had around. gonna look for some more gingham in the charity shops this afternoon!

Fic Storming is a new, multi-fandom server born out of the love of community following JATP Fic Stormingâs existence. Fic Storming is home to many fandoms (and is finding more) beyond just JATP, and weâd love to see you there!Â
Fic Storming is not only for those writing fics, but also for those who are reading fics, creating art for fics, and betaing fics. It is a community aimed at everyone who enjoys fanfiction in some way or another. Itâs a place to gather and discuss fics: posted, in progress, planned, or hypothetical.Â
Now, it sounds overwhelming, but the fandoms are only visible to you if you select them. This way, you donât have to see fandoms youâre uninterested in.Â
While we cannot afford to make an authorâs channel for everyone in a server that is open to multiple fandoms (as was the trademark with JATPFS), each fandom has a Threads channel where you are able to open your own author or fic thread.Â

Author signups are now closed, but since our ratio of writers to artists is still a little off, artist signups will remain open until the artist claiming period begins OR until we meet the number of artists needed!
You can sign up as many times as you want, just please be aware of the commitment you are taking on! To sign up again, just fill out the form again.
Each fic will have an artist. Teeny and mini bangs will receive one piece of art while big bangs receive two, in any medium the artist chooses. White- and orange-washing will not be tolerated.
Examples of art include (but are not limited to) hand drawn or digital art, gifsets, poems/songs, moodboards, crafts/non traditional art (crochet, woodworking, 3D printing), and video edits. Playlists may be included but do not count as a piece of art.

Signups for writers for the Julie and the Phantoms Big Bang are now closed*, but now itâs time to submit your summaries!
Summary submissions help the mods pair teams of writers and artists together. Each fic will be assigned an artist to create art for it. Artists will choose their top fics that they would like to work with from a list of information that you provide us in the form. Please make sure itâs as accurate as you can make it!
SUMMARIES SUBMITTED MUST BE FOR FICS THAT ARE ENTIRELY NEW TO THE PUBLIC. If you have shared the idea before, thatâs fine (please donât talk about it currently as we donât want to sway team results), but the fic itself should be ENTIRELY new to the public. No snippets should have been shared up until this point (short, occasional snippets may be shared once teams are announced) and it may not have been posted in any form on any site before this event.

JATP Secret Santa 2021!
Hello and welcome to the JATP Secret Santa 2021! I know it's kind of late in the year to begin one of these but I still believe we could create something awesome out of this!
So here are the bascis for anyone who's interested in participating:
1. What is a Secret Santa?
For those who don't know, a Secret Santa is a fandom event where fans come together to give each other gifts- and recieve ones! You sign up and are assigned a person who you're supposed to make a gift for. Easy and simple. Everyone who signs up gets to make a gift and receive one.
2. What can I make?
Absolutely every kind of art is allowed- fics and fanart or gif sets and playlists, moodboards- all is welcome!
3. Does it have to be Christmas-themed?
No! There's not a theme for whatever gift you're making- when you sign up, you get to describe what kind of gift you'd like to recieve and that's how we'll give you an assignment.

SIGN-UPS WILL START ON OCTOBER 23rd and WILL END ON THE 29th so that way everyone has time to make their gifts. A schedule will be posted soon!

I am looking for transgender writers to participate in a short story anthology.
The theme: the end of the world, strange powers. Your main character also has to be trans.
Length: 2,000-10,000 words
Genre: it can be any! Satire, comedy, horror, romance ect as long as it follows the theme go crazy!

Wednesday â our resident fashionista Flynn wants to see what you can do with a needle and some thread. Get those sewing machines going and let the ideas fly â did Reggie make those Sunset Curve shirts himself? Have you made your own JATP themed embroidery piece? Do you have Flynnâs sewing playlist on repeat? If you have anything to do with sewing for this day, throw it our way!
Thursday â we all saw Julieâs killer future album cover, so now we want to see â what are your drawing creations? Have you drawn a character that youâre particularly proud of? Do you have ideas of when Julie began drawing? Does Luke tease her by asking if she needs a model? Letâs see where this one takes you all â weâre excited!
Friday â After spending so much time in museums screaming with Alex, Willie wants to see all your painting! This one really is wide open â have you painted the Sunset Curve logo on your jeans? Do you think Willie takes Julie to burst paint balloons with darts? Does everyone get together to make communal artwork before running away from the cops? Or have you painted something from the show that youâre bursting to show to the world? Whatever you have, we want to see it!
Saturday â Carlos the Ghost Toaster is always on the lookout for more digital art and today, he wants to see what you have up your sleeve. Did Tia teach him to edit on the iPad? Did Ray teach him photo manipulations? Do he and Reggie bond over digital art and the satisfaction of a finished piece? Do you have digital art youâre just bursting to show him? Please share!Â
Sunday â Reggie and Alex understand that the world of craft is large and varied, and that weâve only begun to scratch the surface of what there is out there, so hereâs a day when they want to see anything else youâve got up your sleeve. Show them your hobbies, tell them your head canons, write your fics including the wonderful and varied craft forms that help make this fandom such a beautiful, varied space â we want to see everything you have.
