So Heated Rivalry led me down the "what else has Jacob Tierney done" rabbit hole and now I'm 4 seasons into a binge of Letterkenny, and wondering where this has been all my life. I mean...I grew up in the rural Ohio equivalent of Letterkenny. I have personal acquaintance with a version of every one of these characters, and I can't remember the last time I laughed this hard at a TV show.

Well, it's official...I've totally torpedoed every one of my social algorithms...Heated Rivalry is all that exists apparently. This is where I live now, and honestly I'm not mad about it.

Anyone else down bad for some fictional gay hockey players, or are you normal? Shane crawling onto Ilya's lap to comfort him, the monolog, the hospital scene...gah...this episode. Perfection start to finish. The emotion from both Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams was so impressive.

Frickin' Heated Rivalry has broken my brain. I read these books over a year ago, and definitely liked them all, but was NOT the unhinged lunatic over these gay boys that I am now. This is what amazing casting and chemistry can do for a show. Yay for season 2 renewal...these actors are killing it, give them all the seasons. Also...hello?!?...the little Ryan Price name drop this week gave me life. Next to Shane and Ilya, that was my favorite relationship from the series. Bring on my anxious baby enforcer.

So, 1 week ago I was able to see Jason Isbell do an accoustic set at Ohio University's Music Summit. I had second row seats for one of the most intimate, "punch you in the gut" shows I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

I'm a sucker for impressive lyrics and songwriting and his is some of the best around, but the experience of some of these songs in person, with just him and his guitar, in this tiny campus auditorium...I mean...not to be dramatic, but it was life changing. I'm still thinking about it. There is something about witnessing a stipped down set with a truly talented musician that just soothes my soul.
