Bio: Erin Peck was born in 1989 in Oceanside, California. Erin’s main passion and occupation is graphic design and illustration. Ever since she was a little girl Erin’s grandmother, who was an Art docent at the San Diego Museum of Art, use to take her along with her to work. Erin’s favorite painting was a Georgia O’ Keeffe called The White Flower. Erin used to draw and paint all day long inspired by the images in the museum. Later as a teenager, Erin auditioned to get into the magnet school The Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts and was accepted into the Visual Arts program. After graduating Erin enrolled in The Art Institute of Las Vegas to get a degree in Media Arts and Animation. But, later realized that her true love was designing and illustrating more detailed compositions and switched her major to Graphic Design at The Art Institute of San Diego.

As a teenager, I made art to help me cope with my chronic pain from scoliosis. As an adult, I create art as a way of dealing with my pain and mental health issues." Artist Statement: I am an Artist because art heals. Art is my therapy, my pain killers, my meditation, and my diary. I am often inspired by dream-like art by various artists. My own art reflects ideas from my life and my imagination. I am passionate about the use of color and shading techniques. I enjoy working with color palettes that compliment one another. I like to use many mediums to emphasize my ideas and express my emotions. As a child, all my walls were filled with my art work and those whom I admired. They were done in various mediums and numerous color schemes. Throughout my years in school, I studied and practiced many drawing and painting techniques. My work continues to evolve year after year as I experiment and learn new ideas. During my journey, I have learned that the process of creating art is both spiritual and emotional.
