Lost
yay, you found me lol.
My dad knew what he wanted to do from a young age, work on cars, his brother had a successful transport and forklift company, his other brother a truck driver and did well. My brother a web designer working for himself, and my son 21 loves fixing motorbikes and car mechanics, his mum is in admin and gets paid well.
Me, im just an anxiety machine, I did want to learn the printing trade but was so hard to get into in NZ. I tried carpentry and quantity surveying but failed both of those. I even tried university, majoring in environmental management, but failed that stupid econ 110 (economics) was too hard for my little brain.
I feel like a nothing, career-wise.
Life Aye
God doesn't love me.
Hospital in the 80s
I was unluckily born cross-eyed and had 2 eye operations to correct it by joining my eyes together and leaving me with Nystagmus (my eyes shake side to side, wobbly Wednesday) I've only met one other person with it at university. My older brother had 3 eye operations, he was lucky not to have nystagmus.
My poor late parents had multiple trips to the hospital for check-ups and eye tests and walking upstairs because I hated the elevator as a child, hated.
I also didn't enjoy my stay at the hospital very much, after my friend in the next bed left, who had a midnight operation he was checked out pretty quickly. The next day when I was asleep my toys had been stolen out of my drawers, i found the kid that took them, and the little punk wouldn't give them back, I was pretty self-aware at a young age, but maybe we all are?
I recall waking up after the operation and Mum and Dad were there.
Snow
I recalled one of my earliest memories the other day, my parents had a pop-up caravan in the early 1980s. We were in Hamner Springs, Canterbury, NZ and it had heavily snowed there overnight, I remember Mum dressing me up warm to play in the snow.
Connection, belonging, and Secrurity-These are fundamental human needs.
I have one of those, stupid anxiety.
Life is hard.
Let go of things, not meant for you :-(
