Backstory!!
Winnie grew up on the Queensland coast and practically learned to swim before she could walk. After an unexpected thunderstorm forced her to take shelter near the Mako Island caves, she stumbled into the Moon Pool during a lunar alignment. She initially struggled to hide her new identity from the local marine park staff and her human friends, until she eventually crossed paths with the rest of the Mako mermaid group.
