NONSEXUAL ACTS OF INTIMACY MEME.
@emcraldoath sent ♡ for accidentally falling asleep together.
Clint wasn’t quite sure how him and Hal had ended up falling asleep together, but he figured it had something to do with the long day they’d had. It had started out okay, but it ended badly. They’d been overwhelmed by baddies, and it had taken a lot of strength from them both to fight them off and try and remain uninjured.
Once the fighting was over, Clint invited Hal back to his place for a drink, because God knew that they both needed one. They’d sat on the couch with a couple of beers and some takeout while watching a crappy movie on the TV and just relaxing. Clint didn’t know the man all that well, so they spent some time getting to know each other and talking. By the end of the night, Clint was pleased he’d invited the guy over. Now he had a new buddy, and someone to drink with as well as fight crime with.
It must’ve been after the sixth or seventh beer when Clint fell asleep, and he didn’t even remember doing so. But when he woke up, his head was on Hal’s chest, and they were both laying on the couch. The other man was still asleep, and Clint didn’t want to wake him, so he just stayed put. He couldn’t help but chuckle to himself at how much this reminded him of the episode of FRIENDS where Ross and Joey napped together, though.
kate!
Send me a character’s name and my muse will tell how they feel about them. @kateeyeshop
❝Kate is my namesake, and I couldn’t have chosen a better one, honestly. Sometimes she drives me up the wall, but I love her like she’s my sort of weird daughter. She’s been through so much, but she’s never let it get her down too much. Not to mention she’s saved my ass a couple of times. She picks me up when I’m down, and she’s a hard worker. I know that one day, she’s going to be even better than me. She’s the only person I’d ever want to continue my legacy. I love Katie. She’s very special to me, and I’ll kill anyone who ever hurts her. Her and Nat are the most important girls in my life.❞
daisy-quaking-johnson:
“That’s terrible! But of course she did. I mean, it’s Kate, so I’m not surprised.” She chuckled before wrapping her arms around Lucky in a short hug. “You don’t have to worry about me doing that though. As someone who’s been stolen from their family before, I wouldn’t want to do that to him or you. Although, if you ever need him to be taken to a vet, I could totally borrow him as an excuse to visit my dad.” She stopped petting Lucky for a moment and held her hand out to Clint. “Daisy Johnson.”
Clint also chuckled at Daisy’s words. It was a typical Kate thing to do. If she couldn’t hurt him with words or punches, she’d just take his dog instead. ❝I think Lucky enjoyed his time away from me, though,❞ Clint sighed. ❝He had a Barton vacation.❞ He smiled as he watched Daisy hug the dog, then frowned at her words. ❝Stolen from your family? That must’ve been crappy. I’ll keep the vet thing in mind, though,❞ Clint replied with a smile. When Daisy extended her hand to him, he took it and shook it. ❝Nice to meet you, Daisy Johnson.❞
agentxmockingbird:
“This is one of the rare occasions I’m glad I’m not an Avenger or SHIELD agent anymore, not having to clean up this mess” Bobbi commented, probably one of the few reasons she was glad she didn’t do that anymore. Sitting down next to him, she scratched Lucky behind his ears. “No thanks, I just ate.”
❝You mean you don’t miss being ordered around and going on missions?❞ Clint asked with a slight smirk pulling at his lips. He could understand why she’d chosen to no longer be part of the Avengers or SHIELD, but he had to wonder why she’d given it all up. When she declined the pizza, Clint shrugged his shoulders and took another slice, biting into it. ❝You sure? It’s really good,❞ he said as he licked his lips. ❝Pizza dog will be really disappointed if you don’t indulge with us.❞
kateeyeshop:
Kate had been worried. Because ever since the Skrulls had come she had not been able to find him. Not that she would admit it because why would she, however she felt so much better once she saw the man with Lucky. The dark haired girl walked straight over to him without saying a word; and before she was going to accept any kind of food she took a hit at him. It wasn’t a real one, one that was meant to do much harm but it was one strong enough to make him feel it was Kate who sat beside him. “ and that’s for falling off the face of the earth” ––––––– before Clint could say more the took pizza from the box and smiled. “as apologize goes this isn’t too bad” Once she had settled herself down with the slice she directed her eyes and attention to Lucky and the dog happily come running over to her. “ hey pretty girl” Kate smiled as she patted the dog.
❝Aww, why’d you do that?❞ Clint asked Kate, while giving her a harsh stare. He didn’t agree that he’d fallen off the face of the earth, but he wasn’t going to argue with her. She was stubborn, and was beginning to get just as strong as he was. ❝I didn’t fall off the face of the Earth, Katie. I was just busy with saving the world and all that,❞ he grinned.
Clint was pleased when Kate accepted the pizza, but frowned when she mentioned apologies. What did he have to apologize for? Sighing, he nodded, pretending he was agreeing with her. He didn’t want to start an argument with his namesake, because it wouldn’t have got him anywhere. In all his years of being alive, Clint had learned that it was best to just agree with women and let them get their own way. It saved a lot of time, and meant that everyone ended up happy.
He watched as Lucky and Kate interacted, but his eyebrow arched when she called Lucky a girl. ❝You do know that Lucky is a boy, right?❞ he asked with a smirk. ❝I know you’d like there to be more girls around to side with you, but Lucky is a dude that always sides with me. Isn’t that right, boy?❞ he asked, grinning at Lucky and ruffling his fur.
emcraldoath:
“Uh,” he hesitates, thinking to himself. “Well it’s Thursday, right?” Which was wrong. “So… I haven’t eaten since Monday night? Yeah, my friend brought me an MRE, I managed to eat half of the beef stew before I got attacked again.” Hal gratefully accepts another slice, but stops there after quickly devouring it. “Hmm, well I think it was… if you count the ships I helped take down in lower orbit, and the few I caught just getting past Mars… somewhere in the low 5000s. Yeah, that seems right,” he finally says with a sigh, leaning back against the bench. “Can I pet your dog?” Hal asks, looking over at Lucky. “Eh, I’ve had worse. This is nothing compared to what happened to me the last time I was on New Genesis.”
❝What the hell, man? It’s definitely not Thursday,❞ Clint replies. He’s a little worried about Hal, and wonders if he’s gotten any sleep since the invasion started. ❝You need to get some sleep, and order yourself a huge meal.❞ Clint is stunned at how many Skrulls the man has taken down, and the shock is visible on his face. When asked if he can pet Lucky, Clint nods. ❝Yeah, sure. Lucky is all for getting attention,❞ he says. ❝Even if you’ve had worse, you still need to get them checked out. You don’t wanna be put outta commission because of an infected cut, do you?❞
starspcngledman:
“Don’t even get me started on the clean-up.” Steve chuckles weakly as he settles back on the bench, his own dog sitting by his feet, her eyes glued to Lucky. Steve doesn’t say anything to her, though, scratching behind her ears as he glances over at Clint with a smile on his face. It’s going to be a long road, getting the city back on track, and there’s no telling what’s going to happen for the unregistered heroes who went out and fought, but.. one step at a time, right?
Steve’s glad to see Clint again, and to know he’s unharmed after the invasion. Or in general really, considering he has.. a bit of a habit of getting into sticky situations. “That’d be great, if you guys can spare some.” He picks up a slice and takes a bite, still looking over at Clint. “It’s good to see you again, Clint.”
Clint looks at the man sitting next to him, a small smile forming on his lips when he sees it’s Cap. He’s always been loyal to the man, and he’s glad to see him. It’s been some time since they last saw each other, due to them both being busy with other things. ❝I bet you were out here crushing all those Skrulls, though?❞ Clint asks with a chuckle.
❝I think me and Lucky can definitely spare some, seeing as it’s you. How many people can say they shared pizza with Captain America?❞ Clint grins. He nods when Cap says it’s good to see him, feeling the same way about seeing him. ❝It’s good to see you, too. How’ve you been? What have you been up to?❞
Aww, Barton.

He had asked her to come over and she felt every inch of her tense up at the prospects. What was it that Clint wanted? That was the main question that she kept repeating in her head. They hadn’t had time for one another since before the invasion and as of late, things have been a bit of a dance between them. Well, if she was being honest with herself, it’s been this way for quite some time but when was Natasha honest with herself?
Tonight she was going to put all the questions to the side. She just wanted to hang out with her best friend and have a good time over their usual banter. It seemed like an excellent way to spend the night and so she threw on a t-shirt and jeans and made her way to his place. Once there, her nerves definitely subsided and before she knew it they had been laughing over their fourth maybe fifth glass of wine. “Ohh man! Sing it to me, Frankie.” She chuckles softly, swaying in her spot, lost in the song when she noticed Clint come up to her. Her gaze flickered up to meet his and she couldn’t help the smile growing on her face, completely ignoring the way her heart thumped in her chest. “Well, of course, Mr. Barton. Thought you never ask.” It was a game they played. Always pretending to be people they weren’t but it seemed like for tonight, they were definitely Clint and Natasha.
She allowed him to pull her close and it didn’t escape her that she didn’t allow many people to do that. Both in the figurative and literal sense. She soon found herself not caring though. This was reminiscent of how they used to be…at least for those five days in Budapest and even though she chose to ignore it all then, she couldn’t now. This was just bigger than her. Perhaps she should go? And just as she thought her mind had been made up, he presses his forehead against hers and she smiles when he sings to her, closing her eyes, getting lost in the moment. “Please don’t stop on my account…” She teases, reopening her eyes to catch a glimpse of him. “I’m all for a serenade…”
Clint couldn’t remember the last time he was so happy, but if he had to guess, he’d have said it was that one night in Budapest that was also spent with Natasha. The one night they pretty much never spoke about. It was the night he was sure that he’d fallen in love again, but he’d never admit that to anybody. Not even himself. Him and Nat were friends, and they could never be anything more. She didn’t do relationships/love, and he didn’t do commitment anymore. How would they ever work? They simply weren’t meant to be. Or at least that was what Clint was going to keep telling himself.
He laughed when she told him to continue, and was glad that he’d made her smile. She really did have the most beautiful smile he’d ever seen, but that was too sappy to say out loud. Plus, she might have thought he was coming onto her, which he would’ve been, but that was best left alone. ❝I don’t think I can sing it as good as Frankie boy, so maybe we should leave it to him,❞ he said softly. He could feel her warm breath against his lips, and it was so teasing that he thought he might die. He would’ve died happy, though.
❝This kinda feels like Budapest, doesn’t it?❞ he asked, closing his eyes because he was slightly afraid of what Natasha’s reaction was going to be. Hopefully she wouldn’t freak out and leave. “Y’know, when we danced as Cole and Nancy,❞ he added, not wanting the focus to be on the other thing they did. ❝That was a good night, even if we were working,❞ he smiled. ❝If you close your eyes, you can almost imagine that we’re back there, with the soft lighting, and the scent of your perfume and Johnnie Walker whisky lingering in the air...❞
Oh. Crap. Maybe he’d said too much. He hadn’t meant to mention her perfume, but he’d let himself get too lost in the memory. Maybe she hadn’t heard him properly, or she was concentrating on Frank’s voice rather than his.
♟Bobbi
NONSEXUAL ACTS OF INTIMACY MEME.
@agentxmockingbird sent ♟ for patching up a wound.
Clint always felt a little awkward around Bobbi, considering she was his ex wife. It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy being in her presence, it was just that he was worried that he’d offend her or upset her. Their breakup had hurt them both enough, and he didn’t want to worsen their relationship in any way. He was jeopardizing it enough already by having the thoughts he did about Natasha.
❝Ouch!❞ he winced, looking down at the wound on his abdomen that Bobbi was currently tending to. He should’ve been more careful while out on his mission, but he’d let himself get distracted, which resulted in his skin being slashed in a few places. There were no particularly deep wounds, but they still stung like a bitch. ❝I’m sorry I came here, I just didn’t know where else to go without someone freakin’ out,❞ he said through gritted teeth as she dabbed at a wound with gauze.
It had been a while since he’d been so close to Bobbi, or felt her touch. It was a little strange, but not in a way that made him want to move away. He’d always be fond of her, and probably always love her. ❝It’s been a while since we’ve done this, huh?❞ he chuckled.
♦-Natasha
NONSEXUAL ACTS OF INTIMACY MEME.
@ofblackwidows sent ♦ for slow dancing.
It had been awhile since Clint had simply enjoyed somebody’s company. Normally his life was so full of missions, saving lives, training Kate, and making sure to stay out of immediate danger. He wasn’t really sure why he’d invited Natasha over to eat Chinese food and drink wine, but he was glad that he had. She always had a way of making him feel at ease, and like he could truly relax and not have to worry about anything.
It Had to Be You by Frank Sinatra was playing softly in the background, and Clint couldn’t help but think that this would be the perfect opportunity to get closer to his best friend. Getting up from the couch, he moved to stand in front of Natasha, taking her glass of wine and placing it on the coffee table before offering his hand to her and pulling her up from her seat. ❝May I have this dance?❞ he asked with a wide smile on his face.
He guided her to the center of the living room, then wrapped one arm around her waist, letting his hand rest against the small of her back as his other hand took hold of her’s. They were as close as could be while the song continued to play, and Clint couldn’t resist the urge to press their foreheads together as they swayed slowly to the music. ❝It had to be youuu,❞ he crooned playfully, wanting nothing more than to see her smile.
