Learning new skills tonight. This spoon carving thing can get pretty darn addictive.
"Imagine what would happen if a huge chunk of citizens stopped accepting what they are told by one of the parties, stopped just aligning themselves with candidates from one of the monopoly parties, and started deeply studying, analyzing and thinking about the issues of government independently. Imagine if they shared their thoughts openly with many others, instead of just letting the news defined by the big media responses to the big parties. Imagine the revolution that would occur in the voting citizenry."
FreedomShift by Orin Woodward and Oliver DeMille
Guys, you know what today is, right? Voting day. You know what that means? Go out there and vote. Also, tomorrow you should go out and vote. And the other 364 days of the year other than today. Don't think that today is the only day you can make a difference and have your voice heard. In fact, today is no better than any other for that. Vote with your dollar. Vote with your habits and values. If you care about he environment then give some support to the national parks, buy clothing from a reliable/responsible source. If you care about animal humanity and local food then buy from a local farmer. Meet the local farmer. Get out there and let your voice be heard. But not just on a paper ballot.

For real. Any guy who says this film is a chick flick doesn't get it. True love story. Plus, its great to be taken to a time where people didn't have short cuts. You wanted something, you made it.
People seem to think embracing life means to jump off cliffs and kiss strangers. Maybe it’s just slowly learning to love yourself.

Did you know the founding fathers originally gave the federal government 20 things they could do without states consent? And they all had to do with protecting citizens' rights and freedoms. It was the states that told the federal government what they could and couldn't do. I want to have conversations about how things are supposed to be. How things used to be. Which is why, instead of hanging an American flag up in my home, I'm putting up my state flag. Not to say my state is better. Not to say everything in my state is great. But to recognize that my state (and every other one) should be talked about more than our federal government. We regain our freedom and control by educating ourselves and holding our state and federal governments accountable. Not by electing the next Republican or Democrat.
