Former EXO member Huang ZiTao has lost the lawsuit against SM Entertainment that he filed back in August of 2015 regarding the unfair treatment he had received and talks of discrimination. 

On Friday, 28th of April 2017, SM Entertainment released a statement; 

“Hello, this is SM Entertainment. On April 28, 2017, the Seoul Central District Court concluded the dismissal of Tao's claim to reexamine the efficiency of his exclusive contract. As a result, his entire lawsuit has been made void. SM Entertainment welcomes the court's decision and promises to carry out even more active business in China and Asia. Through this decision, we also hope that a system of abiding by the terms of fair entertainment contracts will be practiced widely, and expect further developments in the progress of entertainment industries in Korea, China, and the rest of Asia.”

As of now, we are waiting on the Former Member himself to release a statement.

Day6 Begins Year of Monthly Releases With ‘I Wait’ Hitting New Peak on World Digital Songs

Day6 plan to make 2017 their year with new songs every month and the K-pop-rock act is already seeing promising payoff.

In December 2016, the band revealed they would release new music and hold two concerts every month of 2017. January is starting strong with their two new songs “I Wait” and “Goodbye Winter” bringing the band to new peaks on Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart. “I Wait” debuts at No. 3 on the ranking, Day6’s highest mark on the tally so far, and is the week’s best-selling K-pop song in America.

Meanwhile, “Goodbye Winter” starts at No. 6 which ties Day6’s best showing on the chart after their debut single “Congratulations” peaked at the same spot in 2015.

After already kicking off their yearlong project with new peaks, it will undoubtedly be exciting to see how Day6 performs throughout the year. Mark your calendars: The guys’ next release is scheduled for Feb. 6.
